Mickey Oates Motorcycles
Mickey Oates opened for business in Glasgow in 1961. After a number of years trading from Cromwell Street, the business moved premises to York Street where it was purchased by Jim Ferguson in 1982. At that time, we dealt mainly with used bikes & scooters. Moto-X was in our DNA so naturally we expanded the off road side of the business eventually holding franchises for Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Maico & Cagiva.

We re-located to larger premises @ North Canalbank Street in 1989 and this allowed the addition of the Suzuki road bike franchise along with the Vespa range of scooters. Staying with Suzuki, Kawasaki & Honda, we have added Quadzilla Quads along with the Montesa Trials bikes to complement an already appealing range of road and off road models.
Services
We keep a huge stock of tyres, brake pads & all the service parts required to keep your bike on the road & running smoothly. We can uplift your bike if you've had an accident, carry out an estimate for repairs & if you have comprehensive insurance we can keep the bike until we are given the go ahead for the repairs.

Seem like nice staff but way over expensive for tyres. I didn't check anything else but will not be back due to the steep pricing. Compared with other Suzuki dealers. They are just over priced.

Really helpful. They didn't have what I wanted in stock on the day, but could not have been nicer. The chap wrote down other bike shops to help me out. I'd definitely recommend them and will go back in future.

I left Mickey Oats on Friday feeling Mugged and £82 out of pocket. I had paid a deposit by phone to the owner for new tyres earlier in the week only to receive a much better quote from Ducati later that day for similar Bridgestone's. I discussed the difference with the owner at the shop asking if he was happy with a customer feeling like a mug. He was quite happy to pocket my cash without as much as chucking in a voucher to spend in the shop or any of a thousand other things anyone interested in returning customers might do. I intend to never again walk out of Oat's as a mug. I suggest

Poor serivce and overpriced. been shopping there for years, only reason I go is out of necessity. If you can buy online amd wait a few days I guarantee it will be cheaper!
