Our team of experienced optometrists and registered dispensing opticians are here to help you make the right choices regarding your eyesight, spectacles and lenses. And, as a long established family practice we can ensure continuity of care that is individually tailored around you. Originally from the East End of London, Richard graduated from Aston University in 1972, qualified in 1973 and registered in 1974.

Detailed sight test appointments - NHS and Private (up to 45 minutes). Our optometrists are given generous appointment times to fully understand your concerns and ensure you are given a thorough examination, tailored around you, with time to explain the results and give recommendations.

Comprehensive contact lens fitting appointments including free of charge trial lenses and contact lens teaching sessions to ensure you are completely comfortable and confident.We can also post replacement contact lenses to your home for no extra charge. Fully qualified dispensing opticians to ensure your frames and lenses are right for you and make you feel and look great.

We stock a large, stylish range of traditional, contemporary and designer frames, many of which are unique to independent practices and can't be found elsewhere on the high street. Our aim is that choosing new glasses should be a pleasure rather than a chore so that you are delighted with your new glasses, and not only see well but look and feel great!

You may just want a simple pair of distance, reading, or driving glasses or glasses to help you use your computer or play sport. You may prefer varifocal lenses to allow you to see over a range of distances. We are varifocal experts, so if you have had problems with varifocals in the past, do give us a try.

Contact lens technology can offer a high level of comfort and flexibility and can be worn by most patients including those with astigmatism, or who require a varifocal or very high prescription. We supply a wide range of contact lenses from Bausch and Lomb, Coopervision and Johnson and Johnson. Contact lenses are available in daily disposable, two-weekly, monthly and gas-permeable formats.
