Established in 1986, the practice has grown mainly by word of mouth recommendations. Our principal Optometrist and practice owner, Bijal Shah, has a wealth of experience in many aspects of eye care. We have nurtured close links within the local community, schools and hospitals. Our practice is focused on building relationships with patients.
Since graduating from UMIST, I have been practicing as an Optometrist for over 23 years in a variety of leading independent practices. Taking the step in 2007 to open Forbes has allowed me to create my ideal practice based on great service, excellent clinical care and exciting products. My experience in the optical industry spans 40 years.
We believe that great eye care can be delivered to you with warmth, friendliness and sensitivity. That's why our excellent eye care services have become reputable in the local area - because people understand how much we value them. Spearheading our practice is Bijal Shah, ably assisted by David Pusey and Fiona Molloy, with a combined experience of over 50 years.
We understand the difference between a good and a poor eye test, which is why we're able to provide you with examinations which are thorough, detailed and easy to explain. Checking for all major visual problems, we can make sure you receive the care you deserve. Your eyes should be checked by a professional at least once every two years.
We understand your concern - that's why we're specialists in children's eyecare and the dispensing of children's glasses. Ideally as early as possible, although most professional bodies recommend that they should begin at around the age of 3. Having your child's eyesight checked at an early age will allow good visual habits to be established for their future.
