I am Bella Patel - after completing my degree in Optometry at Bradford University, I qualified as an optometrist and registered with the General Optical Council (GOC) in 1997. Having spent a decade building up invaluable experience working in some of the high street multiples and other independent opticians, I then decided upon opening my own practice in East Twickenham in 2006.

At The Eye Galleria we fully investigate the overall health of your eyes and now offer Optomap ultra-wide digital imaging which allows us to carry out a more advanced and detailed eye examination.
At The Eye Galleria, we are pleased to announce the arrival of the Optomap Retinal Exam. The Optomap produces an image that is unique and provides us with a high-resolution 200 degrees image to check the health of the retina, including the extreme periphery.
This ultra-wide view allows us to confidently confirm your retinal health, or to confidently discover signs of systemic disease such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension and cancer, as well as eye specific diseases such as retinal detachments, glaucoma and macular degeneration to name a few.The optomap ultra-wide digital retinal scan captures more than 80% of the retina in one image.

Having examined children's eyes since 1996, I appreciate how important it is to make them feel comfortable and have an enjoyable, positive experience. My experience of having eye tests and needing spectacles from a vey young age has inspired me to try and make it a smooth process, so the child has no hesitation, and in fact look forward to returning for their regular checks.

Friendly and professional. We have been coming to the Eye Galleria for many years and are always impressed by the level of service and attention to detail. Bella is incredibly thorough and takes time to explain every aspect of the eye test while Farwah offers good honest advice when it comes to choosing frames.

A pleasure to visit. I have a very through test with everything explained clearly to me. definitely the most in-depth test i have ever had and combined with the digital retinal photography gave me a very clear understanding of the health of my eyes.
There is a great choice of frames and lenses and the team were very accommodating when i changed my mind after ordering a pair of frames and worked with me to find a solution that i was more than happy with. i have no hesitation in recommended The Eye Galleria to anybody and will definitely return to them in the future.
