Our eye examinations take 30 minutes and to ensure our clients are getting the best eye examination, we have invested in the latest technology for our test rooms. Retinal photography is all inclusive within our examinations to be able to keep a record of the changing health inside your eye such as macular degeneration, glaucoma and other eye diseases.
Whether you want a fresh look, the freedom to be more active and have all round vision with no restriction, we can advise the best solution to fit you and your visual lifestyle needs. We work closely with all the major contact lens companies to be able to tailor a variety of lenses from; hard gas permeable lenses, soft lenses for daily, monthly or even overnight wear, as well as multifocal and astigmatism correcting lenses.
A cataract is a painless but annoying gradual clouding of the eye's natural lens, which lies behind the pupil and the iris. It is almost like looking through a dirty window. I never liked wearing glasses especially after years of visiting chain opticians. Then one day a local magazine was put through my letterbox where I came across an article about the three brothers and the story of The Optical Gallery and their family business. This is how I met Nicos and his team. The interior design of the shop is beautiful and unique , the range of glasses frames is amazing , the use of latest technologies and the service they provide is exceptional. Every time I visit the Optical Gallery in Twickenham it is a delight. I love their interior design, so original and unexpected. Nicos has just made me a pair of prescription varifocal safety goggles, an unusual request but simply brilliant for my work in the realm of bespoke balustrades.
Nicos told me that he had a laboratory at the back of the shop, I could tell from the way he said it that he was passionate about the art of optometry - not just a 9 to 5.30 job but a vocation.

Amazing optical experience.
Having worn glasses for over 40 years and used many high street brands I have finally found an excellent optician in the optical gallery service. It was the best service from the moment I booked to when I received my glasses.
My prescription has been enhanced. The optician was great at assessment, efficient, thorough, highly experienced, caring and professional.
The service I had was fantastic for choosing glasses. It was very special. They were patient and really found the glasses that fit my face and style. I wear glasses constantly and have had problems with pressure

I’ve been going to the Optical Gallery for nearly 30 years. It has now been taken over by the son of the original owner and I still get the same excellent service I’ve always had. The shop itself has been beautifully decorated and the selection of frames is fantastic. I bought a particularly splendid pair of spectacles a few years ago that have one square and one round lens and I get SO many compliments and questions about them. I’m often asked where I bought them. A lot of care and attention is paid during eye tests at the Optical Gallery and everything is explained very clearly. I can thoroughly

Made to feel very welcome by all the staff , All went so smoothly that even my sixteen year old granddaughter enjoyed having her eyes examined, and even went on to say how lovely the staff were.
We did not feel rushed, as we had had felt with previous opticians, and no waiting around for weeks to receive glasses.
So will be going back next year for eye check up. If you want a nice friendly Opticians then I Truly
recommend The Optical Gallery in Twickenham.

I have been going to the Optical Gallery for over 25 years.Great shop and I wouldn’t go any where else for my lenses or glasses.
It’s great being helped by Marios and now his son Nicos.This family run business is why we should shop local.
I love the selection of unique and stylish frames and they will always try to order in others for you if they can.

Great customer experience in the Optical Gallery. Very friendly, relaxed yet professional. What makes the Optical Gallery different to other opticians is that you get a really personalised experience, where you can look at a wide variety of glasses and styles to ensure you pick one that suits you and the team will sit with you for as long as it takes which is great. What I like about the glasses is that as well as classic styles, the shop stocks different ones not seen that often which great.
Overall a great opticians who offer great products and a service that is value for money. Highly recommend
