Services
In our residential care home in Leeds we pride ourselves on the little extras which are available, including a bar, on-site hair dressing, chiropody, library and domiciliary visits from a local dentist, optician and GP's. We have large communal lounges where residents can enjoy watching TV, play board games with a new friend or simply sit back and relax with their favourite newspaper or book.
Whilst a good diet is essential for a healthy body, food should also look and taste good. At our care home in Leeds, our trained chef produces a variety of meals using the best ingredients to fully exercise your taste buds. Food is a very important part of the resident's day and our catering staff provide nutritious and varied meals.
Residential Care is suitable for those who are finding it difficult to cope at home by themselves or for those who are cared for at home but may require more help than their carer is able to provide. Residential care provides residents with accommodation, meals and personal care. Personal care includes help with everyday routines such as bathing and dressing.
At Victoria House Residential Home, which is privately owned, 80% of our clients are fully funded by the local authority. The local authority will contribute to the cost of care if an individual's assets (savings, pensions and value of home) are less than 23,000. There is a sliding scale of local authority contribution below the upper limit of 23,000 to 14,000 at which point you would become fully funded.
We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for the loving kindness shown to Auntie Edna. Especially during the last few days of her long life, which were made peaceful by every member of the tender hearted staff. Thank you very much for looking after my Dad. You made his last few years as happy as he could have them.
