Cranford Opticians is a family-run, independent Opticians in Hounslow, London that was started by Nila Mehra in 1985. We are a forward-thinking practice that is always looking for new ways to improve the vision and eye health of our patients. All our frames are hand-picked and we regularly take on new frame styles and contact lenses as technology advances.
Same day spectacles, repairs and contact lenses, removal if you feel you have something in my eye, scratched eye, eye wash, a minor eye injury, eye infections, eye floaters, red eyes, watery eyes or ingrowing eye lashes etc. For Blepharitis treatment, Meibomiam Gland Dysfunction treatment (MGD), dry eye treatment and for contact lens intolerance.

As a busy IT consultant, I spend a lot of time working on computer screens so when my eyes started to itch and water recently I needed a quick diagnosis and fix to ensure I could continue to work.
A visit to Cranford Opticians proved to be a really good choice. After a thorough examination I was pleased to be told that there was no major problem and a course of dry eye treatment involving a heated eye mask, cleansing wipes and eye drops would improve things within a week or so.

I have been wearing glasses for 50 years. Usually I buy from the main high street brands. On this occasion I tried Cranford Options for the first time . I bought 2 pairs and I was so surprised with my glasses because normally it takes about 2 weeks to get used to the new lens. With these glasses they were so comfortable and easy on my eyes immediately . They were much cheaper than the big High Street brands and I also received a follow up call to check if I was happy with my new glasses. I will always use Cranford Opticians from now on. I know that I will always have a Great experience here. Thank

Staff is good and no complaints on the staff as such.
However, charges are double of what you pay at other Opticians. I was charged £70 for a std test & OCT scan that costs £35 (test+OCT scan) at other clinics like Specsavers.
Also the eye drops were charged for £13.99 while same drops are available for £11 at other stores.
Felt extremely disappointed and overcharged. I do not recommend the clinic.

Over lockdown I have struggled with long hours in front of the computer, so I went to Cranford's to have my eyes tested. Shivani and her colleagues were very thorough and yes, my eye sight had deteriorated. I decided to get some proper glasses. What a difference. Any of you wearing ready readers yes, they make things bigger, but with proper glasses, I can see much more clearly and my eyes feel less tired and sore. Thank you Cranford!

My 13 years old son and I were both due to have an eye test and during the Easter school holidays, we booked at Cranford Opticians.
Shivani was very thorough from the initial phone consultation, during which she asked several important questions about my and my son's health and vision.
Then, she followed up with instructions on how to get to the practice and about the parking options nearby.
Covid-safety in the practice was very careful, patients could only access by appointment and safety distances were held at all times.
The staff was extremely knowledgeable and the customer service was excellent
