Established since 1996, Leeds Montessori aims to provide the best possible care and learning environment for children from 9 months to 4 years old. We are open all year around from 7.30am-6pm. Our focus is to support parents in this important period of development. We provide a homely, happy, family-based environment for children to feel cared for whilst enjoying learning at their own pace.
We have excellent teaching staff that support the children in developing into confident, independent and happy learners. A broad learning and development programme integrates the Montessori approach alongside the standards set in the Early Years Foundation Stage. We have excellent facilities for children, with a variety of large rooms for them to access, and a great outdoor area.

Services
We work with the belief that period up to 4 years of age is a crucial development period and that children can build a solid foundation on which to base further learning at school. The approach applies to children of all abilities including those with additional learning needs, for whom we have specialist trained staff.
Leeds Montessori School is an excellent beginning for a child's educational journey. It is a calm and happy environment, just the right size to retain a 'family' atmosphere and yet help children to gain confidence within groups and build friendships with children of different ages.
The children are encouraged to think for themselves, do things independently and make their own choices and my son is thriving and excelling within such an environment. The Montessori teachers are excellent and ensure that every child receives some one-to-one attention each day, consequently they understand how my son is progressing emotionally and intellectually and are helping him to naturally reach his full potential.

Just spoke to a really rude member of staff when enquiring about a place for my son, sounded really enthusiastic until realising I was enquiring about funded 15 hours, then refused to discuss anything any further, provide any details or add me to the waiting list. Im glad she did that to be honest, wouldnt want my son to be treated any different because his place would be funded. But if you're classist and elitist, im sure this is the place for you.
