Services
Cancelation less than 72 hours prior to arrival; we reserve the right to charge for the accommodation booked. Group bookings (more than 2 rooms) or stays of more than 3 nights must give at least 10 working days notice of cancellation, otherwise the accommodation booked will be charged. All bookings require a deposit of first night's stay, which is nonrefundable.

Cheap and cheerful. The Lantern Guest House is a little bit rough around the edges, but it's clean and the beds are comfortable. Our group of four spent a long weekend here as the HQ for a stag, the staff that helped us over the phone were polite and accomodating. The guest house itself is a 25 / 30 minute walk from the town centre or a 15 minute scoot on one of the Voi electric scooter rentals that are dotted around Cambridge. We had no issues checking in or out and the rooms were clean and airy. Thanks for having us.

This is a hell hole. Dirty, smelly,(mold) and unfit for people to stay in. The stairs were dirty and had worn carpet. The rooms smelled of mildew and were small badly furnished boxes. We, a party of four, were assured by owner that we had exclusive use of a bathroom. Two other rooms shared this 'amenity'. It was a small, mold ridden, with crud covered tiles in the shower. The hot water in the shower was very scarce and quickly ran cold. The toilet brush was a health risk.

This is a good guest house well located in Cambridge. You get what you pay for: in my case I paid £50 and received a small, clean attic room. If you're looking for a bed then this is ideal - although breakfast is not included "The Tivoli" (J D Weatherspoon) is a short walk down the road, where you'll find plenty of space, free WiFi, and a good quality and great value breakfast.
If you're planning to spend a long time in your room then I'd suggest that this is not the right place to stay, but if you need a bed, good value, and a friendly and accommodating owner than I'd recommend Lantern Guest
