Mellstock House
Mellstock House is a well established Edwardian 4 star guest house in Combe Martin, North Devon. It offers well appointed comfortable rooms and you will receive superb hospitality. Relax in the morning choosing from our breakfast menu: croissants with cheese and cooked meats or butter and conserves, smoked salmon/mackerel with eggs, or the traditional full English breakfast which will be freshly prepared using local produce where possible.

Cereals, porridge, fruit, yoghurt and juice always available. Served from 8.00 - 9.30. Our cosy lounge bar is the ideal place for you to unwind with a relaxing drink in the afternoon or evening. Through the French doors you can sit outside on the veranda and enjoy the surrounding country and coastal views.
Services
This charming seaside village is in an area of outstanding natural beauty along the Heritage Coast of North Devon on the edge of Exmoor. It is directly on "The South West Coast Path" (the views from which are absolutely breathtaking) and the famous "Tarka Trail". Our historic village is home to a wide variety of inns, cafes, restaurants, shops and services many of which are right on the seafront.
Below you will find a list of local activities and attractions in Combe Martin, North Devon and the surrounding area. The Combe Martin Museum is very interesting, tracing the history, both social and economic from the Doomsday book to the present day. There are lovely historic houses and gardens within a short driving distance from Combe Martin.
We welcome walkers at Mellstock House for one night or more. You can take off your walking gear seated indoors (we have a wipe clean carpet so no need to worry!) or outside on our sunny balcony. We have boot trays and we also have a drying room where we can dry off wet boots and clothing for you (but of course it never rains in North Devon!).
We have five comfortable bedrooms, most with country and sea views, all of which are en-suite with toiletries and a hair dryer provided. Rooms also include tea and coffee making facilities, digital TV with built in DVD. Wireless broadband internet connection is available free of charge. A superior double room with a king size bed with a large bay window offering glorious country and sea views.
From the East/North & South: On the M5 motorway, at Junction 27, travel west on the A361 towards Barnstaple. Before you reach Barnstaple turn right on to the A399 to Combe Martin. Follow main road and head towards to the seafront then bear left, uphill, with sea on your right hand side. We are approx 200m on the right.

John and Penny were amazing hosts. They took special care of our breakfast needs. A very special touch by Penny was to provide child safe plate and cutlery for our 5 year old in his choice of colour. The room provided was spacious, clean and bright. With a very short walk to a beautiful coastline, this B&B is suitably located.
