We hope that our website will provide a snapshot of life at our school. There is no denying that every child is unique and this is valued and celebrated at Rhigos Primary School. Our ambition is to nurture every child, enabling them to achieve well. We also feel strongly that it is our job as educators to encourage children to become resilient, confident, well-rounded people (citizens) who know the difference between right & wrong.
A positive learning culture is evident throughout Rhigos Primary School. We encourage our pupils to develop enquiring minds and a "can do" attitude to all aspects of the curriculum. Alongside this, we provide a caring and supportive environment ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to be the very best they can be.

The Welsh Assembly has now updated the guidance on The Additional Learning Needs and Educational Tribunal (Wales) Act 2018. If you require further guidance please don't hesitate the school.
This will create the legislative framework to improve the planning and delivery of additional learning provision, through a person-centred approach to identifying needs early, putting in place effective support and monitoring, and adapting interventions to ensure they deliver desired outcomes. In 2018, the ALN Code and regulations which support the Act will be revised, consulted on, laid before the National Assembly for Wales and published.

We are a group of parents who have children in Classes 1, 2 and 3. We organise and carry out various fundraising events to raise much needed funds for the school. Our committee consists of a Chairperson, a Secretary and a Treasurer. The funds we have raised have meant that we have been able to purchase resources for our school.
