At the Saplings Nursery, we grow Seedlings into Saplings! We provide each individual child with the opportunity to develop in a safe, fun, friendly and curiosity provoking environment, we aim to provide a home from home feel so that the children feel safe and secure to explore and therefore learn to their full potential.
The first step to achieving this is by building a good rapport with parents and carers as we understand that you are the child's first and most enduring carers and therefore can provide us with all the information we need to help your child settle in, feel secure and able to learn to their full potential.

Services
The large, open Preschool space has plenty of room for a wide range of activities for children to enjoy, from mark-making and sorting, to puppet shows and dressing up! The comfortable, carpeted room affords child-sized tables and chairs, activity tables for children to feel and explore different objects and textures and a home corner to encourage role-play.
The Seedlings room, recently relocated to our upstairs area, offers both term-time and all year round care for babies and toddlers aged 0 - 2.5 years. The age each child transitions to our Pre-School room, depends on each individual child and their developmental stage. We are able to offer spaces for up to 12 children and is run by an experienced and consistent team, led by Deputy Manager Lisa Hardwicke.
The Breakfast Club sessions run Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 9.15am for children aged 2.5 - 8 years and cost 5.55 per session, or can be included in your child's funded sessions if applicable. We offer places for up to 20 children per session, with Walking Bus places to Birchwood School. A healthy breakfast is provided for all children, consisting of cereals, breads such as bagels and brioche and a selection of fruit.
The Saplings Holiday Club sessions run during the school holidays Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 6pm. Holiday Club sessions are for children aged 2.5 - 8 years old and we offer places for up to 20 children per session. Children can attend anytime during our opening hours (booked in advance) with a minimum booking of 3 hours.
The Saplings (Martlesham Heath) is registered to accept government funding in the term following your child's 3rd birthday, providing your child up to 15 hours per week of funded sessions. All the relevant forms will be issued by The Saplings when your child becomes eligible. Funded hours can be used at any time during our opening hours of 7.30am - 6.00pm and across all our sessions.
