The Pre-school staff team are caring, enthusiastic, imaginative and work to a high standard to follow the curriculum. Our Childcare Operations Manager and all of our other Early Years Educator staff members hold an NVQ 3 qualification along with valid first aid, child protection and food hygiene certificates.
At Claydon Pre-school we operate a keyperson system. Each child is allocated a keyperson when they join us. The keyperson is responsible for keeping up to date developmental records for each child via Tapestry. These records cover all areas of development through the initial phases of the Early Years Foundation Stage which carries children through to the end of Reception (foundation).

Trustees play an important and crucial role in the existence of a charity, but the position carries a number of responsibilities and can sometimes be daunting for a volunteer to take on. New trustees should be made to feel like part of the charity. Providing a proper induction will ensure that they have a clear understanding of the structure of the provision and how it operates, as well as their role and responsibilities within it.
Claydon Pre-school have t-shirts or polo-shirts that are available at 4.00 or 9.50 respectively. We also offer sweatshirts 11 or cardigans at 12 each. We recommend children wear these for playing at the Pre-school, alternatively comfortable play clothes appropriate for the season are advisable. Aprons are provided for painting, gluing and water activities, but accidents still happen so please avoid sending your child in their best clothes.

Tapestry is a website which can be accessed on a computer or laptop, and also on any Apple or Android device such as a tablet or smart phone. We have chosen this company because they are secure, and this is also an exciting way of keeping track of your child's development and their time with us. Instead of using the old paper book style way of recording, we will be able to instantly upload photos, videos, and observations of your children.
