Hay fever is usually worse between late March and September, especially when it's warm, humid and windy. This is when the pollen count is at its highest. There's currently no cure and you can't prevent it. But you can do things to ease your symptoms. Conveniently situated in Southgate. 1 minute walk from town centre with limited on-site parking.

Who to see GP Advice Please contact the surgery to book a routine appointment on 0208 888 1736. Advice We have a blood pressure machine in-house for the benefit of our patients. Alternatively you can provide updates regarding your blood pressure by completing our online form. Who to see Nurse/HCA Advice Our nurses/healthcare assistants are able to take blood tests up until 4.30pm.
Services
Due to pandemic we only offer on the day appointments. You can call in the morning at 08:00 for a same day morning appointment or alternatively call at 12:00 noon for an afternoon appointment. We offer a variety of clinical appointments to book into. For Doctors' appointments, you can book for routine appointments 7 working days in advance.
If you cannot attend your appointment, it is important that you cancel it as soon as possible by contacting the Practice. When the surgery is closed we have a telephone message service to take your cancellation messages. Alternatively using our Online Services (you must be registered to use these services), you can log in online and cancel your appointment.
If it is impossible to come to the surgery and you require a home visit, please telephone 020 8888 1736 before 10.30am and the Doctor will discuss your request. Please remember that a Doctor can see at least four patients in the surgery in the time it takes to do one home visit. How likely are you to recommend our GP practice to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?
Our Patient Access online services enable you to book and manage many aspects of your care. Please note that this service is only available to those 18 and over. Additionally, all current online services users will need to contact the Surgery to amend their access level to include medical record viewing.
Children and Adult Immunisations are carried out by the Practice Nurses. Additional Adult Immunisations can be given by the Health Care Assistants e.g: Shingles/ Flu. Please note: When attending Child Immunisation appointments, please remember to bring their red book so that we can update the child's records.

Covid is a good excuse for not willing to help I am afraid. I do not understand why you can't answer the phone?! Once I was lucky to be number 2 but I had to wait 18 minutes to talk to someone????? Moreover, last time we called on a Tuesday for a repeated prescription..on Friday I went to the pharmacist but he hadn't received the prescription!! The pharmacist offered to email for my part so you could maybe make it faster and send the prescription. On Saturday you were not answering the phone. On Monday, there was no answer to the email. I called again only to be told that "yes I see you called

Rang up to cancel an appointment, but they’re not picking up the phone. Apparently I’m number one in the call queue.
I’ve been number 1 for 18 minutes! Like, pick up the phone for goodness sakes!
What a bunch of jokers. I can only imagine what your patients go through on a regular basis!

Recently it has been terribly difficult to get an appointment or even get hold of someone at the reception. I have experienced an average waiting time of 45' the last three times I had to contacted them while there were cases that I couldn't even get through at all.
This is a very poor level of service compared to what the practice has delivered in the past.
One of the causes could be that the online booking system has been suspended due to Covid, that makes no sense whatsoever. It has been more than a year now and one would expect that any issues would have been addressed.

Really disappointing to be writing such a review
my wife and son are registered here and will now be looking elsewhere
calling after 8am often there is no appointments so you are asked to go online for online consult, which doesnt work, then you call again at 12.30 and the cycle repeats
there is no complaints process on their website which is compulsory!
my son is unwell and needs follow up with a GP but isnt unwell enough to be troubling A+E or emergency services at 111
the process really isnt fit for purpose

I am so disappointed with Bounds Green Group Practice. I have had concerns about my health since July 2021, it's now Nov 2021. I am becoming very concerned now because its not getting any better. However it is impossible to seek any medical attention from this Practice. I work full time and it is not usually convenient for me to take phonecards during the day from the surgery. I also DO NOT want to be discussing my personal business when at work or on a bus, train etc. The surgery give zero indication when you'll receive a call from a GP. Last time I waited 72 hours and still no one called. I just

Badly managed and annoying. I was sent a text saying I could book a booster jab, with a link to the bookings site. When I followed the link I couldn't make a booking – so why point me in that direction? Today I attempted to get a booster jab from a walk-in clinic. The only reason I knew about it was because a neighbour told me; I had no notification from the surgery that this was happening today. I also need to get a flu jab and have been told by one of their so-called receptionists – who seem to be dim-witted and ill-informed – that there were walk-in flu clinics on Saturdays and Sundays

Have been with the practice for 10 years and was impressed. After one grumble I was called in to chat to the doctor: that is impressive.
More recently though the communication within the practice leads to all sorts of knock-on problems such as no follow-up and no one allocated to make referrals.
A few receptionists are helpful but a couple really are unkind: they seem to forget that most patients are calling because they are worried, so their aggressive attitude is intimidating.

I am wandering if the surgery has a competent manager. There are so many complaints regarding "front of house " and the appointment system, for a long time, and nothing happens. I understood during the pandemic they had to work via phone, but now when the life is going back to normal it would be nice the surgeries do the same, not to hide behind the door.
While waiting to talk to someone, the voice is telling you that you can complete an e-consultation on their website, ..and this is what I see all the time.

The receptionist I have spoken to is the worst one yet.
Telling me they can’t pass me through to the doctor despite the doctor telling me to please give them a call.
For some reason I was able to pre book a follow up appointment and the receptionist then again telling me this did not happen. Her favourite words appeared to be “give a call back tomorrow” . If the doctor has actually asked me to call to speak to her how is it not possible to transfer me? Or even help me contact her.
Minus the reception the doctor i see is wonderful.

Went here for a walk in Pfizer Covid vaccination and was very pleased on how efficient, safe and friendly the process was. All the volunteers were lovely and supportive. The queue was really quick and I barely felt the jab. The space is clean and modern as well. Don’t hesitate to get vaccinated.
