Have been here a couple of times with my dog. The circular walk around the lake is great (around 13miles) with some beautiful views. Be mindful of the algae in the lake as they can be very poisonous to your dog (should they drink from the water in the lake). Refer to the notices around for more information.
Would be great if the friendly service in the cafe was matched with a better offering of refreshments.

The Waterfront Cafe has increased its prices as of 3/10/21, some of the prices on the menu are now lower than what customers are being charged. This is not in accordance with trade descriptions legislation. I spoke to the manager and he was aware of this; if he was prepared to offer me a refund of the difference, why wasn't he prepared to charge customers the advertised price until the new menu arrived? :(

Great place to visit, any time of the year. Lots to do in the summer with an aqua park and kids activities etc. In the autumn 🍂 you can enjoy the view of the trees changing colour and a walk around the lake. The footpaths are excellent for walking and you can get some fantastic views. 😀. Very peaceful and calming 😌

Came here with two children aged 8 and 10 for a bike ride and we absolutely loved it. We’d brought our own bikes but there were plenty to hire. We did about 4 miles of the cycle path, which is quite bumpy and hilly in places and gets narrow, so worth bearing in mind if you have children who are less confident on bikes. It is a fantastic off road track and we will definitely be back to see if we can complete it! The ship playground is fantastic and the kids would happily have spent the rest of the day there. Didn’t use the cafe or any other facilities but looked like there was lots more on offer

Spent 8 days in the campsite. Only 4 toilets between lots of tents and a long walk from the camping field we were in. The showers were not great and shared with the water sports people so often left in a bad state. We would go for a swim in Maidstone leisure centre (fun pool was great) so we could have a decent shower.
To sum up okayish for a couple of days but lack of facilities really lets it down.

Great fun aqua park
Giant inflatable floaty place. Lots of fun for kids. Quite tiring for unfit adults. We went on a very hot day so we didn't need wetsuits and it was perfect to cool down. We all had a great time trying to stay on the floaties, climb over the obstacles and jump in from the high bits. All very safe with life jackets, life guards and lots of rules. After we ate in the cafe which was ok for burgers and chips and ice creams.

Well…having been a little bit hesitant about heading to Bewl Water I feel motivated to make my first review post. We booked the Aqua Park! We were met by a lovely member of staff ‘Tom’ who couldn’t have been more helpful, patient and kind. I would highly recommend Bewl Water and look forward to dipping in and trying the other activities. Thank you again so much and ‘thank you’ Tom 😊

Camped at Bewl July 2021. Great Location, Staff friendly and nothing too much trouble, loads for the kids to do including Aqua Park, & Laser Tag. Our only minor niggles are the showers and toilets can be a bit of a walk and despite relentless efforts from security to keep people quiet after 10pm there was a large group of campers that had other ideas, They eventually went to bed by about 10:45pm. I would highly recommend the Bewl camping experience.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS CAMPSITE! This has got to be the worst run campsite we have ever stayed at, we turned up at 2pm to check in, there was no one at reception, we rang the number and someone came, they advised of our pitch number and that was it, no information about any of the facilities eg toilets, washing up facilities, bins etc. There are 3… camping fields and a block of 4 toilets and 2 washing up stations which is no where near enough. There are also 3 more toilets and 3 showers in the sailing club you can use but it is a bit of a trek and not lit so not suitable at night. The toilets

Hired 2 bikes today at bewl, was given their brand new bikes and helmets and was so nice to collect at 10am and take a slow stroll round the lake. We have walked it twice but the views as you go round are completely different! The staff were very nice and gave us some advice on which way to go along with a map. I will happily come again and hire the bikes and hopefully soon give the water a go too!
