Services
Being Independent Opticians we at D Aveyard Opticians Ltd have the freedom to access an extensive range of Spectacle Frames and Lenses to cover all needs and budgets. We now have a range of kids frames with standard lenses which are covered by the NHS spectacle voucher and thus will be free* to the patient.
Contact lenses are a very popular and safe form of eye correction today. Whether they are for everyday wear or just occasional use, we have an entire range of contact lenses to suit everyone's needs. If your requirement is to correct a high prescription, you need help with reading or your requirement is just for sporting, cosmetic or social activities, there will be a contact lens that is right for you.
Daily Disposable - for both comfort and convenience these lenses are ideal. Worn as little or as often you want and thrown away after each wear so no solution or cleaning is required. Planned replacement - Either available in fortnightly or monthly disposable form. These lenses are an excellent value, soft lens ideal for the everyday contact lens wearer.
It is essential that all contact lens wearers receive regular contact lens check ups (aftercare), to ensure minimum risk of complications. Compliance and hygiene are necessary for healthy contact lens wear and these will all be discussed during the initial trial period. After the trial, aftercare will be arranged, at time intervals tailored to your requirements.
As a result of changes in regulations covering Contact Lens Supply we have created a new pricing structure to allow flexibility for our Contact Lens Patients. All Patients must have a Contact Lens Prescription dated within 12 months in order to purchase Contact Lenses. Wearing Contact Lenses can occasionally cause ocular irritation and/or discomfort which requires assessment by the Optometrist.

My son took a stick to the eye at school. Being on the enhanced opticians list I took a chance to see if I could get him seen (not a patient of theirs) as a walk-in rather than heading down to A&E to see what damage had been done. I was very kindly given an appointment within an hour, which was so helpful as he was in a lot of pain. The assessment was thorough and the management plan sensible. I was even offered follow-up for him! My sincere thanks to Aveyard Opticians! Brilliant care!
