Services
We are looking to recruit an Apprentice Greenkeeper to assist in the day to day set up and maintenance of the course. The ideal candidate would be local to the area, keen to learn, hardworking, reliable and have some interest or experience in golf/greenkeeping. Being a golfer would be advantageous although not essential.

Colne Valley Golf Club is working in partnership with Coastal Golf Academy to create the most exciting, innovative and successful Junior Section in Essex. By creating a fun and enjoyable environment with lots of coaching and playing opportunities, we believe our Junior Section supports children looking to just have fun through to those hoping to make golf a potential career.
Established in 2008 The SmartGolfer Network offers our full 5 and 7 day members access to over 30 additional golf courses in the South East. Please enjoy this facility which is included as part of your membership. Colne Valley is pleased to be a member of the SmartGolfer Network. Each club in the network makes available 2 tee times per day Monday to Friday - some weekend golf may be available as well, subject to availability.
SafeGolf is a partnership of UK golf bodies committed to promoting a safe and positive environment for all those participating, working and volunteering in the sport of golf. SafeGolf consists of members from the golfing bodies across Great Britain & Ireland and has been established to help golf respond to the issue of child protection in sport.

I can't speak for the golf as I went to a meet up after a funeral. What I can say is the canapes were very good and that the serving team were very capable and punctual in brining out food and drink into the event room. The room itself backed onto a balcony that overlooked the golf course, and had a fair number of tables and chairs around it.
All in all a lovely send off and a very nice venue.

Well-maintained course presents a tough but fair challenge. The greens read quite true, but the speed of them can be quite different compared to other courses in the region. The staff was wonderful and we had a marvelous full English before beginning our round. I’m hopeful that knowing the layout of the course will make it a bit easier when I play it again.
