Hello, my name is Patricia Holden - I'm a qualified Psychotherapist, Hypnotherapist, Consultant of The Thrive Programme, NLP Practitioner and counsellor. Helping people to overcome anxiety, stress, panic attacks & any problems where emotional or psychological forces are involved.

Patricia is a Consultant for The Thrive Workbook, a Training Analyst (Personal Therapy Provider) and Supervisor (Personal and Professional Support). My job, as I see it, is to listen to their stories, find out what it is they want and need to reach 'that place' of mental peace. I'm the captain of the boat who will navigate their stormy waters from the Island of Turmoil and take them to the land of calm and peaceful existence.
Cognitive Processing and Integration (CPI) is an innovative therapeutic intervention that enables people to deal with and move forward from challenging, conflicting or traumatic life events or experiences. Most psychological symptoms and problems are underpinned and maintained by people's limiting beliefs and unhelpful thinking styles.
Many factors, experiences, create the formation of what we become as individuals - the common thread amongst us all that binds us together - is the ability to think. Babies are 'driven' to crawl and to eventually walk, bit by bit in spite of how many falls - they learn by perseverance to reach their goal.
Hypnosis is a state of high awareness in which the mind can concentrate and focus on inner thoughts. Very much like our natural state of day dreaming - you still know where you are, but this information may not be important to you while you are in the process of pursuing your thoughts. You are extremely relaxed and able to concentrate on your internal world, rather than being distracted by outside stimuli.
A wide range of psychological techniques are used to help break down your beliefs and preconceptions about stopping smoking, provide you with the psychological strength, skills and resilience you need for the long term. You will be taught skills & techniques to overcome any cravings you may experience and teach you ways to stay calm and relaxed during those first initial days without cigarettes.
