The New Montessori Pre-school
The New Montessori Pre-school is run by parents for parents. It is the only accredited Montessori pre-school in Worthing and we are proud to be the only Montessori Charity pre-school in the UK. Our Management Committee ensures that the Montessori Method of education is offered to all children at an affordable price, with highly qualified and dedicated staff, and a high ratio of adults to children.

To help the child to become socially and emotionally well adjusted and to help him/her become physically strong. We are a non-profit organisation providing Montessori education for pre-school children in the Worthing area. We are a registered charity (number 1086853), and you are welcome to view our Charity Commission register entry.
Services
The New Montessori Pre-school provides an holistic approach to children's education so as to develop the whole child, physically, socially, intellectually, spiritually and emotionally. We celebrate each child's individuality and have a deep understanding of their development needs. Our aim is to help the child develop life skills including confidence, independence and liberty.
Our pre-school has places for 52 children a session from 2- 8 years of age. We are open every weekday during the school terms including half-term holidays, but we do not open on bank holidays. Full day-care is available, or children can attend one morning or afternoon session each day, either with or without Lunch Club.
Our pre-school has an internet based record keeping system called My Montessori Child. This is where all of our information about your child's education is stored. The funds were provided by West Sussex County Council through a Graduate Leader Fund secured through our pre-school.

We take photos of the children at work as the basis of the observation and then upload comments and levels of concentration and familiarity before uploading the observation. The system combines the Montessori Philosophy with the Early Years Foundation Stage ensuring that all areas of learning are presented.
The Montessori Method aims essentially to help children develop themselves by directing their natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge. We use unique equipment originally developed by Maria Montessori to let them explore colour, texture, shape, length, area, volume, letters, words and numbers. And of course we encourage more traditional expressive activities like painting, drawing and craftwork.
