Downsvale is a home from home environment offering complete person-centred care in anidyllic setting nestled in the beautiful rolling landscapes of Boxhill in Surrey. It is close to all amenities and offers 24 hour care for you and your loved ones in a caring and safe place for all who stay here. Our philosophy is to create a secure, relaxed, happy and a homely atmosphere for our Residents to live in and the staff to work in.
We aim to recruit and retain the very best people who complete on-going training and development to ensure that they continue to deliver market-leading care based on best practice, and our team members are also supported to obtain diplomas in health and social care.
This gives our team confidence and the incentive to improve, which in turn gives confidence to our residents and their families that the care they receive is of the very highest standard.Given that we always have fully trained Registered Nursing staff on site, this gives the peace of mind to the resident and families that their care needs can be met no matter how they change without the necessity of having to move at a later date.

Our philosophy of care is a person-centred approach. Our care is tailored to meet our resident's needs- from those needing a little extra assistance to specialist 24-hour care, we are able to meet the full spectrum of care needs. We get to know our residents as much as possible including their past lives, hobbies, interests and preferences.
At Downsvale, we concentrate on delivering the most exceptional nursing care and support that really makes a difference to the lives of our residents. All of our nurses are fully qualified, experienced and have a strong understanding of best clinical practices and are up to date with all of the latest practices.
We offer your loved one the physical and social environment that is specially designed for living with dementia which most people are not able to provide at home. Your loved one will be experiencing the world differently than you do. The connection between objects and their actions which we take for granted are a cause for major frustration for people with Dementia.

My aunt spent time here. Always very clean in her room and all common areas. She was well fed. As she had fairly early dementia/Alzheimer's she found any group activities confusing and didn't participate. I don't think there are many of these, so maybe not the place if your relative needs this.
My experience of this home, whilst pleasant would not suit a more active resident. My aunt and other residents nearby her spent their days in their room.
I'm happy to say that she was well cared for and none of her possessions went missing. I felt that, whilst confused she was well cared for.
