Wray Common Nursing Homes
We have three comfortably furnished, spacious lounge areas where residents meet to chat, relax, watch television and participate in activities. Our hand picked team of staff provides both Alzheimer's and Dementia care for our residents and are devoted to their needs 24 hours a day. From the first day my mum entered Wray Common she was treated with respect, kindness and love, they were her family when we weren't able to be with her.

She was offered the chance to sit in the lounge but Mum likes her own room and television and they respected her wishes. She did enjoy the parties and everyone who ever passed her door always spoke to her. My Aunt's stay at this home made a great difference to her peace of mind and general well being.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and management at Wray Common. We chose Wray Common after having considered a number of homes in the area. They agreed to take in my ailing father in the late stages of lung/prostate cancer for end of life care on very short notice due to a sudden deterioration in his condition. He was made comfortable and his medication carefully managed so that he ended his short stay with them and his days at peace. They liaised closely with St Catherine's Hospice and local doctors to deal with his symptoms/medication. There was a high level of nursing staff and ancillary

Grate place to work if you enjoy being treated like dirt then having all pay withheld.

My mother Eve went to Wray Common Nursing home for about 3 weeks for palliative care. It may not be the Ritz inside, but that was completely immaterial compared to the kindness, empathy and care she received- as did we, her family- throughout her stay. From the carers, to the tea lady and the wonderful nursing staff, they made her last days on this planet as good as they could have been, and for that I shall be eternally grateful.

My Dad spent 2 years at Wray Common up to him passing 10/02/2019 RIP
I lived 85 miles away and visited regularly.
Dad had a number of health issues that necessitated him to have multiple hospitals admissions over the last 12 months, the swift attention from GP and nurses was always excellent.
I only have good things to say about Matron Melanie and her team.
Nurses were caring and kept me informed, carers were sweet and kind.
Very homely environment .
Thank you.
