Located in a mature part of the Leverhulme Estate at the heart of the Wirral Peninsula, Bromborough is renowned as a hidden gem of a Golf Course; "Wirral's Parkland Jewel"(R). For over 100 years golfers have been tackling the distinctive 18 holes that play between 6300 and 6600 yards depending on the tees used.
Its quality can be evidenced by its selection to host the English Amateur Matchplay Championship in 2005, English Men's Seniors Championship 2003 the Cheshire Matchplay in 2010, Cheshire Strokeplay Championship in 2017 and Cheshire Seniors Strokeplay Championship in 2018. Services
The Wirral Peninsula is building an impressive reputation as an outstanding, value for money, golfing destination. The climate benefits from the moderating effects of the Gulf Stream and the nearby cities of Chester and Liverpool offer a host of attractions. Golf destinations that are priced in Euros have become ruinously expensive.
BGC members are not allowed to enter Ladies and Senior Opens and are restricted to 2 members per team in the Mixed & Team events. Bromborough members cannot enter the Team Opens whilst logged-in to the Members' section of the website. All applicants should be members of a golf club affiliated to CONGU and able to prove possession of an official Handicap Index under the new World Handicap System.

As with the vast majority of golf clubs we ask our members to adopt a minimum standard of dress and ask that visitors abide by the same code.

Long-ish course with several very tough holes. Well kept and lots of improvements going on. The greens are quick and tricky. Not sure it merits a slope index as high as 135 though. Friendly bar staff, decent choice of food and drinks. Lovely veranda linked to the bar and overlooking 18th green. Happy to return. WHS 22.5 score 99.
