Rainbow Nursery
At Rainbow Nursery School, we are dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, stimulating and welcoming environment for all children. We incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child's best interest in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning.

From language and literacy development to social skills and creative expression, to just running about a bit, the children at Rainbow Nursery School are constantly being exposed to new activities and environments in which to thrive. We build on the strengths and interests of each child to help build a solid foundation where they can develop their futures.
Services
The main nursery is divided into three age bands, Baby Nursery (0-24 months), Day Nursery (24-36 months), and the Preschool (36 months to Primary School age). We also operate a Junior Club for Primary School age children before school, after school, and over the Summer holidays.

Before your child starts at Rainbow Nursery we will arrange settling in sessions, this gives you chance to meet the nursery practitioners who will be looking after your child, and for you to pass on information with regards to your child's routine, stage of development, stage of weaning etc.Your child will be allocated a 'key person' who will meet you on your child's first visit.
No, its not a tounge twister, its our approach to childcare that ensures that the main carers in a child's life communicate effectively to provide the child a consistent and effective learning environment. Buying a house may be Location Location Location, but joined up childcare is all about Communication, Communication, Communication.
All 3 & 4 year olds are entitled to Early Education Grant Funding from the beginning of the school term following their 3rd birthday until compulsory school age. Eligible children are entitled to 15 fully funded hours per week for normally 38 weeks a year. This is known as the universal entitlement.
Our Baby Nursery team will provide your child with a variety of opportunities to learn, grow and develop their life skills in a caring and nurturing environment. This is accomplished through observing the children's interests, both indoors and outdoors, and responding to these emerging interests with play being the main focus.
Miss Lisa Watson, our nursery manager is currently Acting Manager of Rainbow Nursery's Day Nursery. Our Day Nursery rooms provide your child with the opportunity to learn, interact and develop in a caring environment. Through play your child will learn and develop at their own pace, as we support their emotional development and teach social skills, whilst enhancing language to aid them on their journey to becoming strong communicators.
