The Guy Fawkes Arms is a welcoming free house country pub in the beautiful picturesque village of Scotton. Originally constructed in the 17th century, the pub takes its name from Guy Fawkes who lived in the village during his teenage years.

Fast forward a few hundred years and The Guy Fawkes Arms has established itself as an exceptional country pub, with a wide variety of guest ales and a passion for high quality food, using locally sourced and seasonal produce.Here at The Guys Fawkes Arms, we welcome your pooches into the pub. Unfortunately we don't allow dogs in the restaurant but do have dog friendly tables in the bar area.

Stopped here for lunch after seeing lots of positive reviews and we definitely weren't disappointed, the food was excellent! Had the steak pie followed by the chocolate brownie and both were delicious, and the staff were very friendly and attentive also. Would definitely visit again

If only I could leave a 6 star review.........
Excellent pub with superb food and welcoming service. Not the cheapest but right up there amongst the best - the Sunday lunch is outstanding. The only slight negative is limited car parking so get there early!

My wife and I stopped of here today on our journey to the Lake District. We were really impressed by the lovely staff (very cheerful and friendly), the service (pleasant, kind and attentive) and the food was simply fabulous.
I had the seafood platter starter as a main... it was brilliant. Very nicely presented, flavourful, just as I hoped.
My wife had a wonderful steak and ale pie with vegetables... she loved the cabbage and panccetta (spelling?)
I can heartily recommend The Guy Fawkes Arms, and will tell friends about it.

Fantastic food the gnocchi starter was to die for. I had the roast pork for main it was absolutely perfect. Unfortunately no room for a pudding but they looked lovely. All in all a a most excellent experience I highly recommend this pub

Super friendly staff and excellent Sunday roast. We were visiting the area on holiday and glad we managed to dine here one night. Only downside is the parking is limited and quite tight but don't let it put you off trying it if you've never been.

Really great foodie pub in the heart of Scotton!

We headed here for my father in-laws birthday on a Friday and it was already packed so we were super pleased to have booked ahead.

The decor is very classic England in terms of exactly what you'd want when called after Guy Fawkes (he was from around here after all...) - so watch your head, don't spill too much wine and make sure you get yourself holed up in a nice corner as I imagine this place full of nooks and crannies would be perfect in winter.

The food was awesome, the set menu very good value and I wish I could eat the steak
