For 35 years, the Tannin Level has been one of the most renowned and best loved Restaurants in Harrogate. Staunchly independent, it proudly showcases the best our great county has to offer. From Light Lunches and Delicious Sandwiches, Pre-Theatre dinners and a legendary early bird, through to the full A La Carte experience, The Tannin Level offers something for everyone.
The Tannin Level is one of the most popular Restaurants in Harrogate and can get very busy. We do therefore recommend booking a table. Our philosophy at the Tannin Level is simple. Yorkshire on a plate. The very best Local, seasonal ingredients, inspired by the Yorkshire countryside from whence they are sourced.

Services
Established in 1985, and located on Raglan Street, just off Princess Square, The Tannin Level has become one of the best loved restaurants in Harrogate. Renowned for its wines (its name is a wine term after all!) as well as its food, it has garnered an enviable reputation as one of Harrogate's foremost independent restaurants.
Whilst we always make every effort to accommodate walk ins, our restaurant can get very busy and we do therefore recommend booking a table. For groups of 8 or more, please phone the Restaurant on 01423 560 595 so that we can discuss your requirements with you specifically, or email us with a phone number so that we can call you back.
Our food is modern British with a Tannin Level twist, and we use only the very best seasonal ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible. Furthermore, every component of every dish is lovingly made from scratch by our passionate team of Chefs here at the Tannin Level, so you can be sure that everything on your plate is the very best it can be.
The Tannin Level is located on Raglan Street, just off Princess Square in the heart of Harrogate. An odd name but great food. We ate there on October 9th on a visit to Harrogate. I guess there are customers lucky enough to call this fantastic place a regular haunt. Very generous portions left us too full for the cheese board so we had the creme brûlée!
Between us we enjoyed the trio of pork and the monk fish special. I thought the wine was very good value with good choice at the lower end of the price range. The staff were spot on too.

Lovely space, truly delicious meals and I spent ages deciding on a starter because I really could have chosen anything on that menu. I finally plumped on goats cheese brulé, followed by lamb. The best choice. The only slight downside were the portion sizes, I was defeated! I really wanted to try a dessert, but couldn't even finish the main. I would have loved two thirds of those meals.
Efficient, professional, very friendly staff. I will be back.
