The Aonach Mor Hotel in Spean Bridge is a delightful family-run hotel. Our accommodation comprises of six comfortable en-suite rooms, all with colour TV as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel is open throughout the year for short weekend breaks or longer stay holidays, and we offer special prices for children.
We welcome walkers to the hotel and for hikers on the spectacular Great Glen Way long-distance footpath we provide an ideal stop over with drying facilities for clothes and boots. Fishing is also a speciality in Spean Bridge, and we are able to organise fishing expeditions and permits in local rivers and hill lochans for both trout and salmon.

The village of Spean Bridge is nestled in the Great Glen and has spectacular views to the Grey Corries and Aonach Mor Mountains. The village itself has a general store, Post Office, Woolen Mill, train station and a selection of hotels and restaurants. The Spean Bridge area is a haven for the outdoor enthusiast as we are located in the Outdoor Capital of the UK.
The atmospheric lounge bar is popular with the villagers of Spean Bridge, and we pride ourselves on stock of over thirty Malt Whiskies from every area of Scotland. Highland, Lowland, West Highland, Skye, Speyside and Islay. For that special occasion we can even offer you a forty-year old dram. Our attractive restaurant is ideal for private occasions and the lounge bar is not just a 'hotel bar' but is a traditional pub with character.

Not a complete review because we actually didn't stay there. When entering the hotel it smells damp and old. Maybe they just opened for the season and didn't air it yet but that was not very inviting. Their prices are simpel;1 persoon 37,50, 2 persoons 75 and family room (3 persons) 113 pounds. So basically 1, 2 or 3 times 37,50. The smell already shared me away so we didn't stay there. Asking for a good alternative was a bit much but at least she directed me to a cluster of b&B's I already found using Google. Driving around shows how good Google is as they actually have all B&B's on the map.

Lovely place a short drive away from the foot of Ben Nevis. We booked it last minute as our previous choice had let us down - and wow, was it worth it! The accommodation is rather modest and basic (although our room had a bathtub, which I didn't fail to use for a luxurious hot bath after a cold Ben Nevis ascent) but the hospitality and personality of the staff - the lovely owner Liz and the gorgeous American lady whose name escapes me (sorry!!) - make this place one that you don't want to leave. The home-made food is top notch and just what you need after a few hours of hiking! 10/10 will definitely

You'll forget this isn't your home.
Service: The people here are amazing, warm-hearted people. They went above and beyond to help me after my car slid in a ditch, calling fiends and local tow companies at almost midnight. They made sure all of my questions were answered and were patient and friendly the whole time. Free WiFi too.
Room: very cheap and fast getting my room. Great view of the forest. Comfy and clean. The bed wasn't noisy at all either. I slept the whole night without a problem.
Breakfast: juice and cereal were already waiting for me. A full plate of local recipes and cuisine came
