Stayed 2 nights in a lovely room with a conservatory together with access to the garden area. We loved the attention to detail everywhere throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent as was the dinner experience in the Kale Yard. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and the service was polite and efficient. We really appreciated the "fusion" between old and new on offer making our stay quite unique.

We have been to Boath House twice before when it had a Michelin Star and loved the whole experience. We were so looking forward to visiting again. The house was just as we remembered and Room 3 was as fantanstic as it was before with the two free standing baths. The views were stunning and the grounds were even better than we remembered. We had a drink in the courtyard where the staff were so friendly and helpful. For some unknown reason they have shut the restaurant in the house for dinner and have built a cafe in the walled garden. The menu was very limited, our choice of mains were pork chop

We got married at Both House back in December and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day, setting or food. Even with the ever changing guidelines Cindy was unwavering, so helpful and friendly. Wendy and Don were very welcoming into their beautiful home. Thank you all so much again for making our day such a memorable experience for us and our closest family and friends. Already looking forward to coming back at the next opportunity.

We've worked with the family who own Boath House for over 10 years now, but on a more personal level we've stayed there and eaten there over the years and without exception it has been fabulous. With the addition of the Kale Yard cafe in the walled garden and now their small B&B The Wendy Hoose as well, the whole set up is fabulous, magical and worth the trip to go if you haven't been yet.

Staff is friendly and attentive. Room was first class, large well appointed and comfortable. Meal was unbelievable value - portions were generous. Cod main was perfectly cooked and excellent combination of flavors. Venison and wild mushroom main was outstanding. Cheese course definitely large enough to share for two, might actually work for three. Desserts perfect. Highly recommended.

Fine, fancy, fabulous.
It's the small things that matter when it comes the fine dining. It's a special occasion for the diner (I've never been to anywhere as fancy).
We were welcomed in, given beautiful canopies then taken through when our dinner was served.
Freshly cooked bread, relaxed friendly staff and perfectly cooked food. My photos were slightly dark but I didn't want a flash to put other diners off.
Well done Boath House. Thank for a lovely evening.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. From the reception room, to the view of sunset over the lake, to the incredibly interesting and delicious food, the dinner was an experience that I will never forget. The dishes ranged from a twist on the familiar (rabbit and potato) to the wholly unexpected (pickled walnuts), but they were all absolutely perfectly done.

Delicious food, perfect service, excellent value. Upon arrival we were sat in the reception room and offered an aperitif while we perused the menu. We ordered and then were shown to our table. The food arrived promptly and the staff had the perfect mix of being knowledgeable and friendly with out being overbearing. The three course lunch was wonderful value. We would definitely return.

A great restaurant, that really does what a Michelin starred restaurant. Warm, hospitable and a bit quirky.
I have been for dinner, about 90 quid for 5 or 6 courses and three times for lunch which is about 30 for 3 courses. The dinner is worth it, but I think the lunch menu is spectacular value for what it is. Although I'm usually a typical stingy scot, I usually grudge paying for steak in a restaurant ( partly as I feel I do it better myself), but I've never left here grudging the price because at the end of the day you are paying for an experience.
I always book, not sure if you

My favourite food and hotel in Scotland.
Great place. When booking dinner on the phone was told the dining room was 'smart casual', sort of laughed as that was a little weird. I don't really dress up at all and think that formal style is a little outmoded to be honest.
All fears were laid to rest on arrival. The host is very charming and hospitable. I think my plaid shirt and trainers were ok! When I was browsing the wine list I remarked at how well priced the Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs was (not much off retail). His reply was "People come here to pay good money to eat. I

My absolute favorite hotel is Boath House on the northeast cost of Scotland, in Nairn.
A beautiful regency house with an interesting historical past.
The owners, Wendy and Don, we have known for a long time now and they run their hotel with love, passion, humour and a sort of bluntness on Don's side, which is not always understood by everyone. But we love this man for it.
All rooms have a different interior. Most are a mixture of typical Britisch elements (think poster beds, baths on legs, thick curtains, warm colors) but there are also rooms in the basement that have a contemporary design
