My husband and I stayed here for one night. It was fine. The room we had was small but had everything we needed in it. Breakfast the next morning was good and plenty of choice. Only down fall was not a lot of parking however there was a carpark just over the road A10 per 24 hours. When I booked Laura was extremely helpful and friendly.

Terrible experience. The hotel is super dated and beyond, I have never seen something like it. The walls are paper thin I could hear the conversations of my neighbours perfectly. The room was so small I felt claustrophobic! The Travel Lodge rooms seem like a mansion in comparison. Bed is low, so I don't recommend it for people having problems getting out of it. There is no double glazed windows so all the noise from the main road was disturbing. The size of the TV is ridiculous, my tablet had a bigger screen than it. The lift is again, very dated, you can basically see and touch the wall as you

On arrival at the Ullswater Hotel I was met by a friendly helpful man Doruk who checked me in and upgraded me from the single I had booked to a double room. I had booked through Booking.com. My room was a good size, clean and comfortable. I expected the hotel to be a little run down but old original hotels are something I rather like, especially the quaint old lift. The bed was comfortable to rest on and the room was warm. There was complimentary tea and coffee, albeit with disposable cups but I guess that's expected in these Covid times. The bathroom was a good size with a shower and nice large

The manager isn't very helpful and we were offered a very small room. We mentioned that it was so small we could just fit the suitcase in and were given a slightly bigger room which was the only positive.
It's very basic and terrible for vegetarians as all food is cooked together with meat.
Extra costs for everything including v early check in and car parking!!
Not impressed but location is amazing.

Stayed in this hotel for one night with my wife. Awful experience due to the bed. The mattress had given up on one side and the frame supporting it also had a hole in the same side. Tried to sleep but couldn't so had to sleep on the floor. Upon complaining, the night porter advised that he can only leave a note for the owner to see in the morning. Upon asking the owner in the morning if he had read the note left by the night porter. Owner said I am sorry about that. And this was it. Nothing else offered. I was expecting at least a partial refund or something of the sort. But all I got is sorry

Loving my staying at the Ullswater Hotel. Staff very helpful nothing to much trouble. Breakfast was great well worth the little extra. Parking was full as you would expect with a busy hotel, no problem as free parking just outside hotel, bit lucky. Near the town a near park and beach ⛱️. Took dog and she loves it loads of walks for her. Room we had was dated but was clean and had all we needed. Will stop again

Very dated hotel, claims to be a 3 star hotel but I think they forgot the minus sign before the 3. TV had no aerial so couldn't watch telly, shower was awful, bed was really comfortable. The door was that hard to open I think I pulled a muscle in my hand. Honestly the best thing about this hotel is how close the cliff is to chuck yourself off it after a night's stay here.

DO NOT STAY HERE……..even if like me you think people who leave bad reviews are just being fussy.
After checking in we entered our room(family room) and all chose a bed. I climbed into mine to discover it was wet. Seems the cleaner had ignored the fact that someone had urinated in it and just turned the mattress over but left the quilt and just put a new cover on. I told the manager who tried to tell me that they were extremely busy so the laundry wasn’t dry. I made him smell the cover so he realised what it was. I Was told it would be sorted but returned later to still find the urinated

Room dated & small . Lots of noise kept us awake all night, not entirely the hotels fault. Couldn't get TV to work. Not good value for money.
Good points were the room was very clean. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Very near the beach.
Couldn't park at the hotel but found parking easy nearby which was free.
