Honestly don’t bother spending the cash. There’s way better hotels for this price in the area.
Want food? Nah you don’t matter when Norwich FC are staying.
Fancy being able to watch TV while you’re getting ready for a night out? Nah, the batteries in the remote are almost dead and the connection to your tv is so awful I just put my hard drive on.
Want an iron? That will need asking more than once.
Cleanliness - wow. Shower head was absolutely disgusting and a superglued toilet seat.
Parking? Not when Norwich are here. You don’t matter. You’re lucky if you can get a space in the

Arrived Friday last week slightly early and was allowed to check in then which was nice, we headed straight for the afternoon tea that was included as part of the stay. Fire alarm went off 4 times during the afternoon tea, not for long on each time, but not pleasant. The serve of tea was different to the menu advertised...
Got into the room to realise the mini mirror in the bathroom wasn't working, nor was the shaver portal. The fire alarm went off again when we was unpacking in our room - another 5 times at least. We then headed out. Came back and wanted to visit the upper fifth bar, it was closed

I could write an essay on how bad this place is, turned up at 1pm and put our bags in the holding area, told that check in wasn't until 3pm. Came back at 6.30 to what I can only describe as armageddon in the hotel entrance and reception area. Around 6 bookings all standing around and asked to sit in the bar area as the hotel didn't have any rooms ready for guests.
The manager was initially nowhere to be seen and the reception staff showing no sign of empathy. Eventually the manager appeared and claimed that they had a large booking who checked out late. Pretty lazy excuse as there is over 500

The hotel description is certainly not accurate. Whilst on the surface things look nice and modern it is in fact an awful place to go. To start we were sold a romance package that cost an extra £100 per person per nte. This gives you champagne and strawberries on arrival, a 3 course meal for two people for each nights stay. As it turns out the two restaurants are closed and the only thing on offer is the roof too terrace which serves burgers and chips and pizza. These are such poor quality and doesn’t come close to the price charged. There was multiple issues with the room, for example the bath

The hotel itself was lovely - big rooms, great amenities - Bowling alley, table tennis tables and a pool with a steam room and sauna.
The downside however, was the fact that the staff were unhelpful, service wasn't great, AC did not work (did not provide any solution when we brought it up).
Booked hotel specifically for the pool - much smaller than the pictures online. Steam room and sauna were great. Breakfast was inconsistent - service was slow.
Feels more of a 4* hotel (due to staff) not worth the price we paid.

Very disappointing. I booked a large suite for 2 adults, 2 children at a cost of £400. For this price for a night I was expecting a beautiful room. The sheets were stiff and threadbare, the walls scuffed with chunks missing at corners, furniture was water stained and tired, the toilet roll holder was coming out of the wall taking the plaster with it. There was no kitchen open past 11pm and after a very long day it was disappointing not to be able to get anything to eat. There wasn't even a mini bar with snacks. There are far better hotels for the money. The staff at check out really did not seem

Very good Hotel with friendly staff and nice comfortable clean rooms. Hotel was very quiet and has good secure underground parking. Plenty of pubs restaurants and lively entertainment within a short walk. Make sure you see the cells in the main bar. All very interesting.

We booked this having looked at the website and it seemed stunning .
I am deeply saddened to say … it was certainly not up to the description…
1. Roof bar not open .
2. Towels need replacing along with dressing gowns . Old and hard.
3. Went to pool only 2 chairs in the whole area. Steam room switched off .
4. Very few staff available. Nobody on reception at the spa area . No treatments on offer . Quite shocking really .
5. Room tired , stained carpets . One loo roll for a 2 night stay, given only 2 teabags and 4 milk jiggers . Damaged areas on the furniture, in the shower .
6. No luxury

We stayed here to celebrate both a birthday and anniversary and we were really excited. Unfortunately a couple of things seriously marred our experience.
1) Fire Alarm. The alarm in our room was faulty. It flashed an exceedingly bright light every 30 seconds throughout the first night. Despite the tape that had been stuck over it as a botch fix it was very disturbing. The next morning 4 alarms went off between 7.30am and 9am. Whilst we were glad to learn there was no way we were going to burn in a fire, it certainly wasn't the repeated wake up call we were looking for. After being silenced the

The absolute worst 5 star hotel experience. They never answer phones, not helpful or friendly and horrible service. It's a great location, but that's the only positive of this hotel. They have a rooftop and they do not offer anything for guests - not even a seat! The girl at the rooftop was so rude saying "the roof is separate" yet then I see the same woman that cleans the rooms cleaning the rooftop bathroom? Interesting if they're separate they use the same employees? I am also not exaggerating that we were on ringing phone to reception for 42 mins to ask a question. We

I got here after a long trip from San Francisco. The darn keys would not work and I had to go down 3 times. Wish they would have sent someone after the second time.

They have a tiny gym. On the plus side, nice rooms and a great location.

Don't know how they are a 5 Star Hotel, 2 Star at best. Rooms old with mildew smell. Beds old and lumpy. No dresser for your clothes. I had to live out of my suitcase. 2 closets, one with 5 hangers, the other had none. No one to assist with luggage. You bring it up 7 steps yourself from street to hotel entrance. Had breakfast one morning. Got there at 1020 and it ends at 1030. At 1030 4 staff members cleared all the food away and settings off tables while I was eating. Concierge useless. Has no information. Only positive is the location.

My friend, Mr Halliburton, and I booked this hotel through Expedia in July 2016 for one night layover in September 2016. As I lived in London for 13 years previously, I booked this hotel for its central location. Having the ability to walk to all of the places we wanted to see was of value and importance to us.

However, upon arrival to the hotel we were told that we did not have a reservation at the hotel as a glitch had happened in their system and it had affected numerous guests. We were told that they would put us in their Kings Cross hotel, which wasn't an option as it isn't the

Didn't stay here but visited it to see The Card Shark Show thst they have every Friday which Steve Truglia performs. The hotel used to be a courthouse and the hallway entrance is listed and certain other areas of the hotel is so can't ever be demolished or changed. I love the reception area with the seashell type chairs. The bar area is quite different as there is some side cubicles that used to be prisons so still has the cell doors on them. Theatre quite small but comfy seats and a very close up feel with the magician which is nice. Supposely this hotel is also haunted. Nice place

I had a decent experience here. As an American traveler, the hotel met most of my needs. I was provided with a free room upgrade upon check-in, and was able to get my room before 11AM. After traveling 9+ hours, this was well appreciated.

The Room
The room was spacey and nice. It was mostly clean, but there were layers of dust in less touched spots, such as by the table near the couch. The King bed was two twins next to each other, which is common for London. However, they were not comfortable and I heard springs whenever I moved. I did like the desk in the room and the layout. The shower was

A great centrally located hotel, opposite Carnaby Street and Liberty's and next door to The Palladium's stage door. The bar is a great place to hang out for a drink to rest after a day of shopping or before the theatre! It's original prison cells provide private booths in the bar. There is also a nice bar on the roof terrace too. It's private screening room is very comfy.

The location cannot be beat, being in the heart of the shopping area (Oxford and Regent Streets, Carnaby, James, Bond, etc.). The lobby is smart looking and the bar, which retained three of the jail cells (with toilets) is a fun feature.

The rooms are well-appointed and come with a coffee/tea maker. But the stories about the water in the showers going hot and cold is true. I had to drop a star for that because no hotel in this price range should have that issue.

If you are looking for location then this is your place. This hotel is situated right next to a shopping mecca both in Carnaby and just around the corner to Regent St. It's a beautiful area and so close to so many wonderful restaurants. The tube is just a stone's throw away.

I like the architecture and the history of the building. The common areas are nice. The rooms we got were very spacious for European standards. The beds were a bit too hard for my taste (and I like firm beds!) and I had issues with the wireless. Also I did not have a desk in our first room but I was promptly

If this hotel was a four star hotel, it would be deserving of an extra Qype star. But it's not. It's meant to be a five star hotel. And I just don't see it. That's not to say I didn't have a fantastic time, I just don't think the venue warrants a higher rating. If it's pitching itself as the best in the world (and at five stars, that's what it's doing), that's the impression I should get when I walk through the door. And I just don't.

I was here for an event, so I didn't get a great impression of one area of the hotel. But the foyer

The best reason to stay at this hotel is the location. It is as central as it can get, a few blocks from all the shops of Carnaby Street, Regent Street and not far from Soho and Covent Garden. The Oxford Circus tube is around the corner and despite the busy area, the rooms are relatively quiet. Rooms are reasonable in size with a strong, hot shower and Neutrogena amenities, wired internet service (for a fee unless you are Diamond with Hilton), and a friendly bell staff.

The not-so-great elements of this hotel are:
1. Mediocre bar service, which is a shame because the bar seems cool and has the

Beautiful from the outside, cool from the inside. This hotel is actually the old courthouse and it's bar is home to the old prison cells. You can pay to get in rather than out of these stylish cells where even the old toilet has become part of the decor. It's the closest I want to get to spending an evening inside a prison cell and paying for drinks is always better than paying for bail (a U.S. thing).

Staff at the hotel is great, very friendly and attentive. We were greeted with the London rain on the out and once inside greeted with warm cookies and a smile. Check in was easy
