The rooms are clean, there's a small lift and nice seating area on the ground floor. It's not busy enough for breakfasts or meals. So as it's a cheap hotel, and it's probably a listed building, the windows are single glazed sash style. The hook on ours didn't line up with the loop on the frame, so a plastic spoon was used to jam it. You can hear traffic but it's not bad. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the room. No sweeteners only sugar but overall OK. Towels are supplied as is shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. They are not big rooms but it's for sleeping. Considering the Mariot over the

Handy location. Gale blowing through window even when closed and l completed my 10,000 steps moving around under the shower trying to get wet. Still ... warm, clean, dry (including the shower). Worth 2 stars but a second visit, not sure.

Small room looked poorly maintained, I booked a room for 5 ppl, what I had were 2 twin beds and a single bed in a 200 sq ft room, no sofa, no arm chair, just 2 bedside tables and a dinning chair, a TV shelf and powerless fridge. I dont even want to mention to toilet, which is very very dated....all are down. The only thing that is good about it is its Location . Not recommended to family travellers.

Such a great deal. Sure the carpets are old and the shower takes a minute to heat up ... BUT what a deal right between two tube linesand walkable to Buckingham Palace.
Pritam and Jax were SO FRIENDLY. they let me store a bag for a week and were always there to try to help.
The rooms are small, but who stays in their room when you are in London? BUT the foyer is so cool = big leather couches, cool music and loads of old books to look at.
Really - such a great deal and a wonderful 5 night stay. Will book again every time I come to London.

Despite the negative reviews we actually had a great experience at this hotel. Staff were helpful and the room was clean and pleasant. Great location just a short walking distance from Kensington High Street and Earl’s Court train station. Very little noise at night though that may have been because we were located on the second floor at the back. Only issue was that we could not figure out how to turn off the radiator (or if we even could) which was on all night, but we opened the window and switched on the fan provided by the hotel and we were fine.

My Partner, her sister, and their heavily pregnant friend are staying there tonight. Her sister booked the hotel as it stated it had disability access, they have however they have been greeted by a 30 minute wait where no-one would speak to them. This is just the tip of the iceberg as someone moved the sister, in her wheelchair, without asking. One member of staff said the hotel wasn't designed for people with disabilities (despite the hotel making it clear it is on the booking website) and stated this point through gestures. They have now had to make it up 4 flights of stairs as the staff say

Absolutely disgusting service. My disabled partner, her sister, and her 7 months pregnant friend were denied a room upon arrival due to their lift being out of service. This resulted in all of them having no accommodation and having to take a £100 taxi ride to a relative’s house. This is beyond horrifying. Putting the vulnerable in harms way is absolutely unacceptable in any circumstances. I will be taking legal action against this hotel in due course. Avoid like the plague.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel and were bitten by bed bugs twice. We documented the bugs and spoke to reception about canceling the rest of our nights in the hotel. They assured us that they would be handling a refund for us. Specifically, Mark at reception assured us. We have been trying to contact the hotel to see why this is taking two weeks and our booking agent has been unable to get an answer from them.

Forget the small rooms and uninterested reception area, the bed bugs and lack of empathy are enough reason to give zero stars.

I have emailed and tried contacting many times.

Do not book this hotel. Their pictures online are FAKE af.. clearly they spend all their money on the reception area and none on the actual rooms. Cracked tiles in the bathroom, stained carpets, old wonky furniture, you can feel the springs in the bed, window couldn't be closed completely. Definitely got a bed bug bite as well. I wouldn't be so pissed if the pictures they have online reflected the reality of their hotel but it's almost a scam. And it's not even THAT cheap. Sorry not sorry.

Got this place as pard of a Virgin Vacations package. It is in a good location, pretty close to the Earl's Court tube station, and plenty of restaurants, and a couple of decent locals. Also the main reception is very nice, as the original parlor is open and nice.

However...
The room was very small even by London standards. And the walls are thin, so you can hear snoring and such even with earplugs. And there was an ensuite bathroom, but again very small and cramped, so much so it really isn't worth it. Better to have the bath down the hall and a room large enough to have such things

Hotels are expensive in London, and I got a room here at a cheap rate... and it was cheap for a reason.

Firstly, the gripes...

It was a bare basics room, not big enough to swing a suitcase. You got threadbare towels and a bathroom with nowhere to hang them. The bathroom was so small that you couldn't sit on the toilet without bumping your knees against the shower. The shower had two unmarked knobs, and apparently only two settings- "scolding hot" and "off".

The divider between the room I was in and the next room was so thin that I could hear every word on my neighbour

I'm surprised that there is only one review and I'm not surprised that its only 2 stars, because the reviews are just as low on other review sites..
I think they're all wrong!

Hotel was a pleasant stay! Room was on the third floor but there was a working elevator and I honestly found the staircase so open and airy that I would rather take them anyway! The front lobby was cute with a wall of books and comfy chairs for your use.

We had the family room which was roomy, ,even if they didn't have chairs or a table (go downstairs to the lobby if you really need it, as they ahve

Make no mistake, the rooms are small. However, all are clean and above street level with their own bathroom/shower and tv. Lobby decor is charming and a nice Continental breakfast is included. This hotel offered the best free wi-fi of all of our accommodations in the UK. Convenient to the Tube and a Sainsbury with Starbucks inside. Extremely friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again!
