High frequency x-ray machine which allows us to take superior quality radiographs of your pets. Below is a list of some of the services that are available to help your pet. However, through colleagues and acquaintances, we have access to most treatments. Please ring and ask if something that you are interested in, or think would help, is not shown here and we will always try to arrange it for you.
Pet insurance provides cover for veterinary fees in the event that your pet becomes injured or unwell. It can provide peace of mind that you're in a position to afford all the veterinary care your pet may need. With veterinary medicine employing expensive medical techniques and medication, and with pet owners caring more and more about their pets' health, pet insurance is becoming increasingly popular.
If your insurer asks you to complete your claim online, what we need from you will be greatly simplified. Please note the process may differ between insurers. Attach the clinical history, along with a copy of any payments you've made (you do not have to keep any receipts). Please note the processing of direct claims is discretionary and based on the relationship between the insurer and the clinic.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
As pet owners, we endeavour to make sure that our faithful companions stay fit and healthy, enabling them to live to an old age. Unfortunately, our pets do not live as long as us and at some point, we will have to prepare to let them go. Sadly, few of our pets pass peacefully away in their sleep. Therefore, we all wish to do the right thing at the right time, fulfilling our responsibility and commitment in their final days.

Took my daughters cat in to have his first jab and set up the pet plan too. We followed the protocols as set out when we arrived, everyone we spoke to or dealt with was lovely, took us through every step and let us know what was happening too. I would highly recommend Highertown Vets as they are friendly and professional as well as being amazingly helpful too…

I’ve been with Highertown Vets since the late 1990s and wouldn’t consider changing. The staff are all you could wish for and I’ve always felt that they’ve looked after my pets, providing clear suggestions, recommendations and doing all they can at all times.

I have brought my pets to highertown for 12 plus years now. I have always been received with a warm welcome a smile and kindness. Whenever I have had a problem with one of my pets they have always been seen straight away. The staff at highertown truly love and care for animals and it really shows. I would highly recommend them 😻😻

Been going here for 35 years. Always very empathetic, kind and helpful. My cat diagnosed with arthritic hips yesterday and needed sedation for X rays and blood to be taken. I adore my cat but he is a feisty ginger Tom. The staff know this and go out of their way to accommodate this mad cat lady.

My cat became ill late afternoon on Thursday the day before Good Friday and there were no appointments left but was told if I didn't mind waiting they would fit us in! Only waited 10 minutes! Brilliant service 👏! My cat and I are doing really well now thank you!!
