The older receptionist is rude and has horrible interpersonal skills.
The vet we saw was not interested in the animal, just on how quickly he could get the next one in,
I knew dog had an ear infection, he dismissed it and said clean it with ear cleaning liquid. A month later I went back because I knew it was wrong and was told dog had a severe ear infection that should have been treated earlier.
They care about cost effective, not about animal welfare. Seem generally as if they can't really be bothered to do their job because they'll get paid either way.

I rang this vet practice while on holiday in the area as I noticed what I thought was tick on my dog after just completing a walk. As I have never seen a tick before I was unsure how to remove it and was a bit concerned as it was just above my dogs eyeline. They told me to take my dog over to them when it was convenient for me which I did straight away. They took my dog into the practice and removed the tick handing him back in minutes. I asked how much and they said there was no charge, how is that for excellent customer service.

I worked here briefly after having been employed by Mayes & Rees vets at Tregony for 15 years. Clifton Villa is now owned by CVS, a large corporate veterinary business who seem more concerned with profit than animal welfare. The markup on their veterinary drugs is extortionate so it's better to ask for a written prescription and buy your pet's medication from an online supplier. Some lovely nursing staff and a few long term experienced vets but since the takeover by CVS there's been a rapid turnover of personnel which in my opinion speaks volumes about the profit oriented corporate management.
