At My Optician, we recommend you have an eye examination at least every two years, or more frequently if recommended by your Optician. If you've never had an eye test before, rest assured that the process is very simple and thorough. A comprehensive eye test takes approximately 25 minutes, and in that time your Optician will look closely at all aspects of your vision and eye health.
It is easy to become overwhelmed with the flurry of back-to-school activities, but making sure your child's eyes are healthy is extremely important to his/her success in school and overall health. Most children have excellent sight and do not need to wear glasses. It is important for children to have an eye examination to check for eye disorders, which may go easily undetected.
At My Optician we have optometrists who specialise in fitting complex contact lenses. Contact lenses can offer considerable advantages over spectacles providing a larger field of view with reduced magnification or minification. They are excellent for sports and can be fitted to patients with any prescription at any age.
It is vital that you regularly make the trip to an optician so that your eye health is checked and any unknown conditions can be corrected. Keratitis Keratitis is inflammation of the cornea, caused by bacterial, viral and fungal infections. Classically the cornea becomes swollen and infiltrates occur, accompanied by a red eye with varying degrees of discomfort and pain.

Total rip off, 50 quids for eye examination while you can do it for 25 everywhere else, they don’t even have all the examination machines. I paid nearly 200 quids to get my eyes examined and a pair of glasses, when I asked for my prescription they want to charge another 5 pounds just for a copy? Honestly such a disgrace and finally, the glasses I bought there are so uncomfortable I basically have to throw them away. And for the shop’s reply, this name isn’t on your system because most people don’t use their real names online for basic safety concern, I’m not commenting on the wrong shop

Had my appointment today with Sundeep who is by far the best optician I’ve seen in years. The whole team there are just brilliant. But I do have to say a big thank you to Terry for getting my glasses made up so fast today. Yep you can get your glasses from these guys within half an hour😲. (If the lenses are in stock). Couldn’t recommend My Opticians enough. Superb service and very friendly professional team. I’ll be going there again for my next test. Thank you 🤙🤙🤙

Received a recommendation from a friend and visited here for a re-test (after a poor experience elsewhere).
I was very impressed. The optician and the young lady in the shop area looked after me very well; nothing was too much trouble and I was not put under pressure at any time.
I now have a comfortable pair of glasses which did not cost a huge amount of money. Very happy.

As a family, we have always used this practice and I can honestly say that the professionalism, knowledge and friendliness of the staff is second to none. I've always wanted to try contact lenses but was too nervous about getting them in my eyes properly, but the optician and assistants spent time with me to achieve this and now I feel confident enough to do it myself. overall, first class service.
