Dr. Dave is an Optometrist but also lectures around the World. He's co-authored the definitive text book on a specialist contact lens procedure known as Ortho-K and has co-invented a clinical product sold by one the largest medical instrument suppliers. Dr. Dave mainly sees patients requiring more complex ophthalmic care.

He also consults at a well-known refractive surgery clinic and performs glaucoma macular degeneration assessments for NHS secondary care. A regular eye examination (or eye test) is important to maintain clear, comfortable vision. However, it is also a key part of your general health check as many general medical health conditions can affect your eyes. At EYETECH we tailor each examination to your specific needs and symptoms. Every examination is under-pinned by the fact that we will aim to understand your visual problems (we call them symptoms).
Income based benefits, i.e. No, the NHS eye examination is a minimum standard of duty in detection and diagnosis of eye problems. With advancements in technology like 3D OCT retinal scanning, earlier diagnosis and assessment can achieved. Unfortunately there services are not funded within the NHS eye service.
Vision Plan is our extended eye examination service that offers you more in-depth eye examinations and 20% off all frames and lenses. Vision Plan is the best option for anyone who wants more than a standard eye examination and genuine savings on glasses. You will need to come into our practice to signup for Vision Plan or Vision Plan Elite, payments are made monthly through Direct Debit.
In its earliest stage the grittiness simply goes unnoticed. It's often put down to the eyes being 'a little tired' or due to too much time on the computer. However, over time, the symptoms become more frequent and eventually, it's a constant feeling of gritty sore eyes. Not everyone gets the same feeling or symptom severity.
The glaucoma consultation is an in-depth consultation that includes an eye examination as well as specialised tests to monitor and assess structures of the eye relating to glaucoma. Have been diagnosed with glaucoma and want additional monitoring to ensure the condition is well-controlled with the medical therapies prescribed.

Dr. Dave made me feel comfortable, reassured & well informed when it came to my treatment. After battling with dry eyes for many years, I'd sought his assistance and can vouch for the pragmatism of my treatment. I was also shown the tangible differences the treatment was making to my eyes through innovative technologies which demonstrated its worth and made me feel confident in knowing we were making progress to ameliorate my symptoms. Overall, I'd genuinely recommend his services to anyone out there who has a severe case of dry eyes.

I have been a client of this practice pretty much since it opened in the Mid 90's. Dr Dave and his team have provided me with outstanding service throughout this time. I am writing this review because I had a concern with a lump appearing on the inside of the eyelid - I walked in with no appointment just to get some guidance as to what to do not expecting to be seen in a formal appointment. However I was greeted by name when I came in (I only usually for a contact lens check every 6 months) Dr Dave personally found time to see me and check my eye over. He found and fixed the ingrowing eyelash and
