The Team Report

Simon joined the business in 1998, qualifying as a PGA member in 2004 achieving a distinction in coaching. David joined the business in 2004 and came 3rd Trainee of the Year award before qualifying as a PGA professional. Mark joined the team in 2015, after studing at Chichester College and acheiving a Merit in Btec National Diplomas Level 3 sport.

Driving Range Report

Our 300 yard, 21 bay, floodlit driving range is fitted with automated PowerTee systems in every bay. The range features a varied outfield with distance markers and a number of targets to help make your practice as productive as possible. With the 18 TopTracer Screens in the bays, it's all set to enhance your practise and be great fun!

Lessons Report

We aim to provide you with the finest coaching facilities we can, and we continue year on year to keep investing in the latest technology and improvements. Our 5 Hole Huxley Putting Green and 2 chipping pods are floodlit allowing short game lessons even when the sun goes down. The Huxley Green is used by our PGA Coaches to improve your short game or by our Custom fit Team if you want to invest in a new putter.

Golf Lessons Report

Our coaching facilities here at Portsmouth Golf Centre have always been one of the best around and we continue year on year to keep improving. Our new green is large enough to have 5 Holes in addition to this we have 2 chipping pods and a thicker fringe surrounding the green, just like the rest of our Coaching Facilities the new short game area will be floodlit allowing short game lessons even when the sun goes down.

Today's bay, 12, had too large a size of AstroTurf in it making it rise up at edges and was a major off putter. Tracer doesn't always register and the aim recognition seemed poor, but that might have been due to the low sun straight ahead. I dislike bayed ranges anyway so I'm biased to start with. 😁

I live in Portsmouth and believe in supporting local businesses but my experience was that the range dose nothing for the jouiner golf's they must pay full price for golf balls at the range which is a rip off as it is golf lessons booked and paid for get cancelled this is a cash machine for those who own the place with giving nothing to help the young kids develop their skills rip off

Surprisingly brilliant, excellent range with automatic tees and ball tracking! Staff were lovely, equipment was great quality and the place was clean! I highly recommend a cm visit here!

Lovely location near two restaurants and sea front. Very cheap to rent golfing equipment ( driver & 7-iron) and golf balls. Many bays that allow 3 people at any given time to use.

Perfect for brushing up on your driving skills, load's of bay's though you need to book at weekends, nice big golf shop with plenty of parking outside and a pub fifty yards away, what more could you want.

I visited for the first time on a Saturday morning with my 9 year old daughter, and were greeted by really friendly helpful staff, a lovely morning out, with a family friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Haven’t played the course for years but the driving range has improved. A much more interactive range with different games to play. But the hike in ball price is a bit of a joke.

Tried the golfing range after some years away from the game. They have TopTracer technology which shows the flight of the ball, carry, total distance, ball speed etc. for general play. It also shows average statistics for each club in the “What’s in my bag” facility as well as a “virtual” green where you can play “nearest the pin” against both local and global players. Good fun!
Great place for solo practice, compete with your mates or even for family.
It also has a Hungry House pub restaurant right next to it so somewhere to go for a quick refreshment.
