Physiotherapy helps people affected by injury through movement, exercise and manual therapy. Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) is a procedure where shock waves are passed through the skin to the injured part of the body. Diagnostic Ultrasound is a quick and accurate way of assessing common musculoskeletal conditions like tendon and ligament injuries.
Physiotherapy helps people affected by injury through movement, exercise and manual therapy. Physiotherapists aim to restore function by using a comprehensive knowledge of the body's anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and pathological processes. With this combination of knowledge and clinical reasoning a Physiotherapist can evaluate pain and dysfunction to determine how best to resolve it.
Diagnostic Ultrasound is a quick and accurate way of assessing common musculoskeletal conditions like tendon and ligament injuries. It has also been shown to be more accurate than x-ray at picking up stress fractures in the smaller bones of the lower limbs. The Physiotherapist may use an ultrasound scanner to look inside the painful area to help accurately diagnose your condition.
Massage can improve soft tissue flexibility, reduce fatigue, aid blood flow to reduce swelling and reduce muscle tension. It is essential in an athlete's preparation as it can prevent injury and promote optimal performance. It can aid the recovery process following strenuous exercise like marathon running or triathlon.
Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) is a procedure where shock waves are passed through the skin to the injured part of the body. Extracorporeal means outside of the body. The shockwaves are mechanical and not electric. They are audible, low-energy sound waves, which work by increasing blood flow to the injured area, reducing pain and speeding up your body's healing process.

I found them by accident through a recommendation from another physio (I think) that coincided with who I could get through my health insurance provider. They have been so consistently brilliant in the handful of times I've used them that I recommend them to anyone and have gone to them even when my insurance isn't footing the bill.
I've only been for various leg/ankle running issues but the standard of assessment and planning/treatment from whoever I see (I've seen and recommend David Harris or Zoe Jessop) has been superb. They've corrected misdiagnoses from my insurer's default physio, they

I have been using the physio and conditioning services at OCP for 8 years. I was referred to David (and his amazing team) by a consultant surgeon who wanted me in the best condition I could be in before my op.
David Harris, along with the physiotherapists, sports massage therapists and admin team, cared for me throughout the pre and post op rehabilitation and I am back running and cycling on a daily basis.
I am a regular client now and every time I attend, I am treated with the same care and professionalism.
I genuinely think that Oxford Circus Physio is the best physio in London. The surroundings

I just want to take time to write this review as my deepest gratitude to Jocelyn for giving me excellent physio treatments over the past 15 years. From the first session at a Roodlane treatment room, I became her royal and one of the most sticky patients, following her from Roodlane, to her Portland clinic and to Oxford Circus Physio. Her no nonsense approach, together with excellent knowledge and skills, have helped my recoveries from various conditions over the long span of 15 years: low back pain, numerous low calf injuries from running, plantar fasciitis, shoulder pain, etc. Recently, she treated

Over the past 30 years and I have seen more physios than most people - across two continents! With chronic lower back problems plus various other sports injuries to ankles, knees and wrists I guess I must be an ideal patient! David is hands down the best physio I have seen in the UK or Australia. Uniquely (for any physio I have been to) he has the ability to carry out ultrasound scans before/during treatment to assess what is actually going on beneath the surface. Getting the root cause faster while at the same time happy to refer on to others when more invasive treatment is required. Unlike with

Top class team. I'd been going to Gail and Nikaela in particular and could not recommend them enough - the relief I've got for my back (office worker / bad posture, so incredibly stiff) is unbelievable. Continue going back because the quality is so good and they're so knowledgeable.

Went to David Harris on a recommendation from the Serpentine RC after several months of treatment (with limited results) with another physio. He put together a detailed program which addressed the injury and more importantly the underlying causes. Great follow up and monitoring during the process. Very pleased with the overall experience and result. Highly recommended.

David and his team at Oxford Circus Physio are by far the best rehabilitation team I have worked with. This is both in the way they approach the treatment and the results seen. Time is taken to clearly explain the issue and rehabilitation plan meaning you feel engaged and involved in the treatment. They are realistic about fitting the rehabilitation around your life (I swim and wasn't prepared to stop). Being able to access your treatment plan electronically from home/gym motivates you to do the exercises given and ensures you are doing them properly. Personally, I have seen great results and highly

I would highly recommend Oxford Circus Physiotherapy. They are always friendly and efficient – even when accommodating my short notice appointment requests! I’ve been seeing Iwona for regular sports remedial massages for two years now. She is brilliant! Very thorough and also informative – she really knows her stuff. I’ve recommended her to several of my colleagues who also rate her very highly. I also saw Zoe for a one off Physiotherapist assessment who was also excellent. I would definitely trust Oxford Circus Physiotherapy for any additional treatment that I might need in the future
