Having been here about 5 or 6 times I feel I can promise wholeheartedly that this place is completely and utterly fantastic. I've had something different every time, so I would recommend get whatever it is you like the look of as you wont be disappointed. My favourite has been the chilli and garlic chicken and also the crab.
This delicious Torrontes is a welcome addition to our range. This varietal is widely planted in Argentina where it thrives in the high altitude vineyards, resulting in an easy drinking, and rich, aromatic white wine. With subtle, diverse flavours and an appealing structure, it is by far cape Bay's most popular wine because of its adaptability.

I'm not one for hyperbole, but I was completely blown away by the food here. I wasn't too familiar with Nepalese food before coming here. I mostly wanted to try some of the Indian dishes, but my wife and I decided to branch out and try some of the more traditional Nepali dishes. It was SO good. We are originally from the NYC area, so we are used to really good ethnic food and this place felt like I was back home. I did not feel like I was in Utah, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. Most definitely will be back - I want to try the momo!

This place is so delicious and the service is excellent. We got the chicken curry, butter chicken, poori, and garlic naan and all of it was phenomenal. The flavors are all spot on and the spice has such a good flavor and kick. It’s all on a really accurate scale so you can find the right level for you. We definitely plan on returning!!

I was very disappointed with this place after hearing such good reviews.
The Garlic Chicken and Chilli Momo was pretty good.
But the Chicken Tikka Masala wasn't as expected. The chicken was STALE. Maybe they should have told me they had no more fresh chicken instead of cooking this!
This is why I give this place 2 stars.

Saw the place by coincidence and wanted to try it out .. Went in for a take out . the place had a nice atmosphere . I ordered the FULL chicken tandoori with Garlic Nan .. I get home and I was surprised with a few drumsticks . I think they mistook me for an 8 year old .. A full chicken is a full chicken NOT 5 or 6 drumsticks . the taste of the tandoori on the drumsticks was close to non existing , it was just an orange color of some sort .. The vegetables were okay however still needed stronger spices .. The rice , though looked like basmati was so dry that it tasted like nothing .. I don't usually

Wow! I had been trying to order here for weeks, but I always seemed to catch them when they were closed; however, after today, it was well worth the wait. After just getting out of work, I went in an hour before they closed, so it was pretty empty. Everything in the dining room was nice and clean (as well as the bathrooms), and I was helped by a waitress who was polite and kindly answered any questions that I had. The food was ready in about 10 minutes (I think it took less time since it was empty), and it was phenomenal! The curry chicken and rice was satisfying yet filling, and the naan bread

The restaurant was quiet, but I visited between lunch and dinner on a Saturday, so your mileage may vary. The restaurant is nice, though dimly lit, and the service was good. My chicken korma was very tasty and I have high hopes for the chicken jalfrezi that I got as carry out. The mango coconut shake was a bit warm and took a little getting used to, but after that it was good.

Coming from Kansas City where Nepalese food are virtually non-existent, We really liked the food there. Had mo:mo(steamed and jhol), lamb sekuwa and chhole bhature and all of them were pretty good. My favorites were steamed mo:mo and sekuwa.

Fantastic food! Some of the best Indian cuisine I have ever had. I had the chili mo mo it was so good. The chicken mo mo is very good too. This place deserves to be packed every night. It's fresh from scratch authentic recipes. Please try this place. Don't be in a hurry. Slow down and enjoy the food. The staff is family, they are so nice and friendly. You will be glad you came.

Wow ! The king lunch special is amazing !! How can you get any better. This really hit the spot. Tikka masala, korma, and I forget what else . Around 14-15. What a deal . If you cannot tell, the plate is HUGE. One of the best Indian restaurants in Utah, hands down .

Great food, great new restaurant! The staff and ownership are all from Nepal, at least the day we were there. They were very friendly so we were able to learn more about the culture and food by talking with them. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance is quite nice. High class. All the food was delicious. And the price is low for what you get. Definitely worth a try if you like or are interested in Indian/Nepal. The mango pudding was a little sweet for my tastes. That’s my only complaint. ;)

Nothing authentic at all - we walked 6 blocks to have some authentic food - really bad food - not authentic - nor recommend at all - if this place was in Nepal the local people would lynch the place

10/10 would recommend! For all you curry lovers, this place is a must try! We started off with veggie samosas and the fried mashed potato. I loved the sauce/spice they had on it! So tasty it was sweet, tangy, and spicy. For the main meal we got the first vegetarian curry(this one was like a sweet and creamy yellow curry with assorted veggies) and I forgot the name of the other one but it had like potatoes and lentils I think? Well, either way they were both super flavorful and great! Can't go wrong with either. We had it in mild which wasn't that spicy at all so if you like spicy I think

The lunch thali was good value and ok quality for the price, it was £8 for the veggie option and £9 for most of the meat. It wasn't the most exciting curry I've ever had and was something that I think I could have made easily at home.

The service was quite slow considering that there were two waiting staff for the 5 tables that were in on a Wednesday lunchtime. It took a good 10 minutes to ask what we wanted to drink, by which time we'd decided on food. The food did arrive relatively quickly but it still all seems slow.

I'm not sure that it's worth the extra money

Very solid Indian curries. Themed as Nepalese cuisine, but it has all your standard Indian dishes. Enjoyed our meal and we forgot to ask our waiter to apply the 20% discount available for students. Oops! We were lucky because on a Saturday night at 7pm almost everything else is booked, but were able to walk in here. By the time we finished at 8:30, we felt that we were a bit rushed out because there was a queue of people coming in from the pouring rain, but the staff were very polite and said that if we wanted to stay, they would seat the newcomers at a different table. I felt it was unnecessary

It was our second visit at Namaste Kathmandu, and second time we were not disappointed. Moreover, I must admit that the meal was even more AMAZING!

Absolutely delicious and full of flavour food, waiters who are very caring but not importunate, good prices, nice decor... It's a real gem! It was a wonderful experience, the Team is doing a really great job. We will definitely be back - it's one of the best restaurants in Edinburgh!

I went here while reuniting with a group of friends I met originally in Nepal and this was a wonderful place for dinner. I know most folks visiting Edinburgh will likely be more interested in trying Haggis for the first time or going on a whiskey tasting adventure (make sure you try some Lagavulin), but once you've done all of that, you should really have dinner here at Namaste Kathmandu.

The Momos were delicious, as were the Mango Lassi, but the main courses were the real treat. I don't specifically remember all of the dishes we enjoyed (they were all vegetarian), but I can tell you

If you don't spice a bit it is a bit too sweet

I really love Indian food, and there's nothing like that feeling of culinary satisfaction when you're presented with an awesomely tasty meal, with the perfect mixture of flavours and spice levels you require for your fusspot palate. Namaste offers up all of these delightful factors for your consumption, plus the food looks great when it's presented, with the traditional brass looking bowls and serving spoons. This is well above average Indian cuisine, and really reasonably priced considering that fact. I love the Karahi dishes, and the classic Rogan Josh, but there are a range of

Finding something different amongst the hundreds of chinese, indian or italian restaurants in Edinburgh can be a challange - however, located near the city's university, Namaste Kathmandu may just be the place you were looking for.

Specialising in both Indian and Neplaese dishes, there is no chance of you not finding something you want to try on either the main or lunch time menu's - or at least, thats what I found! The Daal which I ended up settling for way fantastically presented, and thankfully tasted as good as it looked!
