Services
Wight Classics is a friendly garage that offers restoration, repairs and maintenance for classic and vintage cars. We are careful to research the needs for a wide variety of cars, from pre-War sports cars to 70s and 80s saloons. However, we don't generally work on cars that rely upon electronic systems: "if the car think's for itself, then it's not for us".
We understand that classic and vintage vehicles require regular servicing. This can be a simple engine oil change or a more complete service. Our team works hard to provide value for money and we always ensure that our customers are fully aware of the cost of parts and labour. For classic car servicing we recommend using Penrite Oils and Evans Waterless Coolants to ensure best performance and longevity for your engine.
Wight Classics has responded to recent requests to add a classic car sales page to our website. Our aim is to provide a simple local showcase for buyers and sellers of classic cars. These classic cars are available to view on the Isle of Wight unless stated otherwise and the listings have been created using images and descriptions provided by the owners of the vehicles.
At Wight Classics we welcome a wide variety of historic and classic cars. No two weeks are the same, in either our main workshop, the coachworks or the engine shop, as you can see from our classic car gallery. Rolls Royce and Jaguar will sit happily alongside Austin, MG and Triumph. Our mechanics and bodywork specialists can be trusted to work on your pride and joy whether it's a famous or not so famous marque.
Wight Classics is situated at Arreton Barns which is on the A3056, the main Newport to Sandown road. Once at Arreton Barns follow the small Wight Classics signs, we are located behind the Maritime Museum. If you are bringing us your car then use the access road that runs from the main entrance. Otherwise you can use the main car park and walk through to Wight Classics.

Wight Classics work on all of my cars. I don’t even bother looking for another company as I know that these guys will do a first class job and the invoice will be fair for the work that goes in. As I write this Wight Classics are doing a nut and bolt restoration on my latest acquisition. It’s a historically important car and has to be perfect so there is only company that I trust to do it. Highly recommended.

I have just collected my MGBGT from Tim and his team, I am absolutely delighted with the work they have done, They managed to trace and fix an intermittent ignition fault, set up and balanced newly rebuilt SU carburetors. Plus they retracked the steering after I fitted new track rod ends, using the old count the turns method failed me. If you are looking for old school honest mechanics that understand their craft, these are the guys for you ! Thoroughly recommended. Many Thanks Roy

We put our classic Mercedes 300se in for a body repair on a common rust spot area. Mark explained that the corrosion would be worse than it appears on the surface. The repair estimate allowed for this.We had excellent communications throughout the process from Tim. On collection from IoW Classics both Tim and Mark went through the work they had done including showing Photographic evidence of the corrosion and repairs. .
I also noted that the rear window had to be removed from the car' IoW classics bought in a specialist to remove and refit the window without any damage. I also noted that the company
