Set in 177 acres of tranquil Oxfordshire countryside yet only 5 miles from the centre of Oxford. The golf course represents a stimulating challenge for all standards of player. Originally designed by Simon Gidman in 1995 its 18 holes meander through undulating countryside, navigating 14 lakes, and with 44 acres of natural woodland at its core.
In conjunction with AB Golf, custom fitting of the latest equipment with state-of-the-art launch monitors is available in our TaylorMade Performance Studio and Mizuno Fitting Centre. Studley Wood has a relaxed atmosphere and enjoys an active membership welcoming new members of all standards to the club.

Studley Wood is predominantly a members' golf club which is evident in its friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We welcome new members, whether you want to play competitive golf, or enjoy being part of an active membership. If you are new to the game and want to learn we will make you feel comfortable and get you started.
All visitors are always assured a professional welcome at Studley Wood. Our clubhouse may have a relaxed atmosphere but we take our golf very seriously which is why our greens and fairways are rated so highly. Whether you want to book a tee time or are looking to arrange a society or charity event we will endeavour to help you in whatever way we can.
Studley Wood is situated in a magnificent parkland setting with 44 acres of ancient woodland at its heart. Designed by Simon Gidman in 1995, our Par 73 course provides a challenge for all standards of golfer and is well known for the exceptional quality of its greens. A well stocked Pro Shop is managed by AB Golf and lessons and custom fittings are available from our Golf Pros.
Our upstairs Function Room provides an ideal location for all your special family celebrations and is available to hire to both members and the public. The room is totally self-contained with its own bar and toilet facilities. The large balcony provides relaxed outside seating and panoramic views across our beautiful course and the Oxfordshire countryside beyond.
Our experienced Hospitality staff can give ideas on your flowers, decorations and entertainment and will work with you to create a unique and memorable experience. Our expert team will help you organise your day and we will ensure that you, your family and friends enjoy the whole occasion.
Studley Wood holds a civil ceremony license and we are happy to advise you on how to arrange for your civil marriage to be held on site in our Function Room with its panoramic views across beautiful Oxfordshire countryside.Our clubhouse facilities are at your disposal and can be arranged in a number of seating options holding up to 150 people for a full sit down dinner.

I’m a bit confused by the previous glowing reviews about the service at Studley Wood. The service at this club was one of the worst of any club I’ve played at. It really isn’t that hard to smile, give a greeting or even explain you need to go and change the barrel for the drinks we’d asked for. Ended up walking out as the service was so poor. The course itself is a nice layout, and I’m sure with the greens in top condition ( had just been spiked and sanded) it would be a course people would be happy to play often. Just a shame on the service which is why I’ve only scored it 2/5.

Love this course and always will. The layout is great with some amazing holes. Fairways in great condition, but greens had just been spiked but it’s essential maintenance which needs doing. Even with this the course played 5/5 for me.
The staff however is a different matter. When we arrived in the morning we were greeted by a gentleman who was friendly and welcoming. Went over to the bar to order a coffee and got as much as grunt from the lady behind the bar. The gentleman then came over and gave us our coffees. Once finished, I asked the lady where to put our cups, again nothing but a grunt
