Douglas Dickie Opticians was founded in 1988 by optometrist Douglas Dickie. Duncan and Todd acquired the practice in 2000 and Mr Dickie continued to practice optometry until he retired in 2003. To date, there are still 4 members of the original Douglas Dickie team employed at the practice. The practice now has comfortable, personal areas for dispensing alongside advanced equipment for thorough eye examinations.
Mr Dickie had a passion for contact lenses and this is still existing within the current Douglas Dickie team. The Group also operates the state-of-the-art laboratory, Caledonian Optical which provides lenses to the Douglas Dickie branch, as well as over 200 clients across the UK.

I recently moved back to Aberdeen and was looking for a local opticians and my dad recommended Lindsey Jones at Douglas Dickie opticians. It was seamless and easy to get my eye and contact lenses check done - all whilst maintaining the social distance and cleanliness measures and Lindsey even managed to save me some money on my contact lenses! The rest of the team were also really helpful! Highly recommend this optician!

Not impressed, had an appointment at 4.20pm and was out within 15 minutes. Felt as if I was rushed out of the place as the optician was waiting for an important call from the hospital. Would have been happy to wait until she had taken her call, if asked, but totally disappointed and don't feel as if I have solved my issue.
