Woodland Wishes
Woodland Wishes offer more personalised and 'greener' funerals such as woodland burials, cremations, church services and home funerals using British 'earth friendly' coffins without the fuss and unwanted expense of traditional mainstream funerals. Thank you for your kindness, your patience, your warmth, your firmness in helping me get through the hardest time of my life.

Thank you for helping me feel that together we organised the departure my mum deserved, and I think she would have liked, so warm and dignified.
Services
We are a small, honest, ethical and independent company, passionate about helping you get what you want and need. Providing a down-to-earth, practical and highly professional service when faced with arranging a funeral.

Woodland Wishes was founded by Tracy O'Leary, Green Funeral Director in 2012 to offer a more personal service and to raise awareness of natural burial and beautiful funeral alternatives to assist for a more relaxed, meaningful goodbye.Tracy previously worked for a Cambridge charity, WinterComfort for the Homeless and has been honoured winner for the Good Funeral Award for Green Funeral Director 2014.
A natural burial is a natural way to celebrate life, a way of giving back to nature and the environment a gift for future generations, the gift being a protected nature rich environment.

As people become more aware not only of their responsibility to the environment but also of their ability to choose where their ultimate resting place will be, more and more are turning to natural burial, where their impact on the environment is considerably less than that of cremation, and where they know they will rest in a beautiful, natural setting.
Burials at Barton take place in the glades surrounded by trees, the graves ultimately becoming part of that glade or meadow in time, with the surrounding trees creating a living memorial to those who lie there. Trees are not planted with each grave, but it can be important for families to mark graves, so simple wooden markers, may therefore be placed flush to the ground, ultimately, these will biodegrade and disappear.
The Good Funeral Guide is an excellent objective resource with helpful information on how to create a meaningful ceremony. Cruse Bereavement Care provides telephone and face-to-face support. You can talk to a trained volunteer by calling the helpline on 0844 477 9400 between 9.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
It is our privilege to be involved with the families who we assist, here are a few of their words. We wanted to have a simple dignified funeral for my atheist father. Tracy was knowledgeable, helpful and kind. She was a discrete but lovely presence, making sure things happened with quiet confidence and total efficiency.
