Services
We develop healthy relationships, work well with others, develop social skills and become adept communicators. We understand and enjoy others and spending time together. We are fully inclusive of others, and are respectful and tolerant. We know the benefit of harnessing the skills of others, sharing ideas, distributing workload and supporting one another to succeed and achieve.
We get to know each child as a unique individual, encourage their existing interests, foster new passions and support their emotional and social development. Our approach values and embraces children's individual qualities and interests and our aim is to provide children with the skills, confidence and enthusiasm to seek and relish new opportunities and challenges.
We continuously reflect on the best way to support children in their learning and development, academically, socially and emotionally. Our staff are passionate about our approach and continually review their practice to ensure it leads to the best outcomes for children. Being informed by current research is integral to our approach.
At Ridgeway, in the Early Years our curriculum is based on the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, and in Years 1 to 6 the curriculum is based on the National Curriculum. Each of the learning and subject areas are tailored to our school's approach to enhance our curriculum offer.
Contexts for Learning provide the vehicle through which the richness of individual subjects are taught, whilst supporting children to make links and connections across all areas of the curriculum. Each National Curriculum subject area has been rigorously planned into the Contexts to ensure the progression and entitlement to learning is provided for all pupils throughout the school.

Seriously gone downhill. The discrimination lack of equal opportunities negative attitude from teaching staff have disgusted us. Recently teaching staff using inappropriate language. Poor leadership skills displayed by the headship team lack of discipline etc. Complaints procedure and lack of communication from the Board of Governors is a complete and utter disgrace. Major safeguarding issues and negligence going on at this school.

I just had to leave a review, I went here a long time ago and I loved this school, I am now in year 11 and doing my GCSE's, it made me realise how much I miss primary school. I left half way through year 6 as I moved to west sussex, but ridgeway was a great place to be and I really would like to visit it again in the future just to see if it was the same as I remembered it.
