A & A Doyle is an independent funeral service, owned and operated in the Scottish Borders town of Galashiels. We have recently opened a new branch trading as Herkes Funeral Directors in Gorebridge, Midlothian. We are a family owned company with personal service provided by the owners, Allan and Awdri Doyle (nee Herkes).

We are committed to offering the highest standards of professional care to you and your family. As an independent family firm, owned and operated in Galashiels, you can be assured of a personal service from us at any time, day or night. The service we provide will guide and assist you in dealing with the formalities required and the multitude of options available to you.
From the moment you first contact us we will do everything we can to relieve you of the burden of making arrangements. We'll do our very best to understand your wishes and to do things the way you want them doing. We'll arrange to meet with you, either at our funeral home in Bank Street, Galashiels or in your own home if you would prefer.
We know that bereaved families often worry because they are unsure if the plans they are making reflect the wishes of the person who has died. We offer a free service which allows you, if you wish to record your wishes for when that time comes. Details recorded can include the kind of service you want (or don't want), the venue, music, readings etc.
When making funeral arrangements you will be met at reception by one of the team before being taken to the meeting room. This is a private room where we can discuss all your requirements. Should you wish to visit your loved one, we have our own chapel of rest where you can take as much time as you wish to say your last goodbye.
