Field View Day Nursery is a family run business and was opened in 1995 by Margaret Hepworth, a qualified nurse and practitioner. The Nursery operates from a fully converted, bespoke building situated within an acre of its own landscaped grounds. We are open Monday to Friday 7.30 to 6pm. The setting has three separate aged/development 'base' rooms for babies, toddlers and pre-school and provides care and learning for a maximum of 75 children.
We are a large nursery; however, pride ourselves on being able to offer a high quality, flexible and personal approach to all children and their families in our care. A high-quality nursery education is much more than learning about colours, how to count and writing names.

Services
Our tribe are experienced and committed to the Field View Family and its ethos, we have some who are newly appointed and some who have been with us for years whilst others for 25 years and they all bring something to the table, they are unique individuals who come together to share ideas, knowledge and skills who understand, inspire and encourage the children and each other to progress in their own skills/ development through responsive, trusting relationships.
We have an extensive garden/ outdoor environment and a separate garden for the babies however, all children are able to socialise with their peers. Outdoor play is a key factor at Field View Day Nursery, so children have free-flow play throughout the day, and we value that sustained periods of play in a rich and stimulating outdoor environment offer a wide range of benefits for babies, toddlers and young children.
You are the most important people in your child's life and always will be, so we need your help to ensure we continue to build on the foundations you have laid, and they progress to reach their full potential.
We begin this process with a home visit to observe your child in their home environment and the comfort of your own home and complete any necessary paperwork, next we will book in visits for you to attend nursery at different times so your child has opportunity to see all of the nursery routine before starting.

We have an onsite cook who prepares well balanced, nutritious homemade meals alongside this we provide snacks of fresh fruit and vegetables (some grown from our very own garden dependant on the time of year) throughout the day that the children can help to prepare. We also have chickens in the field next door where we can feed them and collect the eggs.

Wow what can i say, I am a care home manager and we have a great connection with the nursery, before covid 19, me, my staff and the residents would go see the children at the nursery, the interaction between the residents and children is great, this is such a lovely day for all involved, Rebecca and her staff are always professional and have always made us feel welcome, well done field view you are doing a fantastic, we so wish covid would go so we can start this wonderful connection again

I do love the staff they are friendly and very welcoming..
But there were needs not met on several occasions saying this they have put new things in place because of the issues I arose so hopefully they are doing better..
It's a big place and great for kids downside.. not as clean.. they have a cleaning rota but my children were constantly ill there and since left have been fine...
There's no inside, outside shoes rule for baby area... this is very disappointing and they should review this...
The garden is big and quite lovely but also connected to baby area where things are blown in...
Correct

The staff have made it so much easier for me returning after my maternity leave.... considering my daughter has health needs it has been extremely difficult to leave her... but I feel so reassured by all practitioners. Such a lovely home from home environment for her to learn and explore in!
Thank you everyone :-)

My youngest came here since he was 7 months old and has left recently to start his school journey, he has some issues regarding health and fieldview team we're very understanding and met his needs on a daily basis, he has settled quickly into school and I think fieldview were a massive part of this and helped bring out his confidence and personality. All the learning opportunities he got through play and everyday routines have helped his independence massively.
Both my boys also use the holiday club which is great as it's open to everyone in holidays so I can make use of it even though they attend

My daughter started here when she was between 4-5 months old. I felt so at ease leaving her in the baby room, to which she then transitioned into the toddler room and will shortly be moving into the pre-school room to receive her 30hour funding in April! The staff are friendly and very approachable whenever I had concerns. Poppy-Mae loves going and loves the curiosity approach which is implemented through her play!

We've used them for 3 weeks and seems like a good nursery, however they have just informed us they are putting their prices up which is a 25% increase for us equating to an extra £10 per day, at 4 days per week is over £160 per month.
We would have gone elsewhere if they had told us they were planning to put their prices up so soon after we joined. Now looking elsewhere.
