Welcome to Rooftops Montessori Nursery School based in Richmond, North Yorkshire where we aim to provide each and every child with a happy and stimulating first experience of nursery. Hannah Hurley bought the nursery in Richmond in 2013.
The nursery is privately run and offers full day childcare for 0-5 year old's, where children can play, learn and develop using carefully designed, specialist child size resources so they develop into self-motivated and confident children.Following the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, we aim to help children become independent and be able to do things for themselves.

Services
The building is set out over two floors. Upstairs is our baby room, toddlers are based in our converted ground floor barn, when the children reach 3 years old they move into our pre-school located on the ground floor. All our children follow the Early Years Foundation stages of learning, they follow a carefully planned transition period from room to room.
We have a homely run baby room and a separate toddler room where we work closely with parents to follow a home from home environment. Once you have visited us and decided you want to book a place for your child, we arrange settling in sessions for us to get to know your child and for you as parents to get to know us.
Our pre-school is a myriad of activity, there is so much for the children to explore and learn about. They get to do this in their own time, at their own pace, no pressure. We encourage a multi-sensorial approach to learning which is child led. We approach our planning to the learning areas to also meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
