Elysian Insurance Services was established in 1996, initially as a managing general agent underwriting certain classes of maritime liability insurance on behalf of American underwriters. It specialised in excess and overspill calls insurance for members of the International Group of P&I Clubs.
The business subsequently evolved into its current form, namely an insurance analytics company, primarily focused on marine liability business, but has also been involved in both other marine sectors and also non-marine liability.Roger Ingles, Elysian's founder, is a chartered accountant with some 40 years involvement in the insurance industry.

Elysian Insurance Services is an outsourcing company providing data and analytical services to stakeholders within the insurance marketplace. Our experience lies predominantly within the mutual marine insurance industry niche, but has also been extended into non-marine liability areas. Our data, which spans both individual club and industry-wide financial performance, covers the past 20 years and potentially further back for select requirements.
Based just outside London, near Gatwick airport, we have a global portfolio of clients and a network of contacts across five continents. Elysian Insurance Services is neither an insurance broker nor an underwriter, and hence cannot accept or place insurance business on behalf of its clients. We can, however, draw on our experience and network of contacts to point you in the right direction to those who can.
