Dawson Precision Components (DPC) was founded in 1965 by Bill Dawson and Frank Dawson, who initially supplied parts to manufacturing and engineering clients including the Ferranti Group. The quality ethos was evident from the first day of business. Our business is still family-owned today, now run by Managing Director Simon Dawson, Finance Director Julie Hughes and Sales Director Paul Dawson.
Dawson Precision Components has built an enviable reputation over 50 years for excellence in everything we do - and our team is central to that success. We place great emphasis on staff skills, training and career development. Our employees are highly-skilled and motivated, and we take great pride in recruiting and training the best from all backgrounds.
Dawson Precision Engineering is based in Shaw, Greater Manchester, which has excellent transport links to the UK's regional and national road, motorway and rail networks. Our offices and manufacturing facilities are easily accessible for clients, visitors and logistics requirements. From the M62 trans-Pennine motorway, Shaw can be reached from Junctions 20 or 21.
Our knowledgable, long-serving staff are highly experienced in engineering and manufacturing, with expertise across both CNC and manually-operated machining. They play a key role at DPC including helping to train our younger staff and apprentices, passing on traditional engineering skills to enhance the new techiniques promoted by the latest technology.
