Jack and Jills day nursery is a privately owned day nursery based within the outskirts of Maylands Business Park in Hemel Hempstead. We are lucky to be in a quiet location with lovely surroundings, with access to J8 of the M1 in less than 2 minutes. We benefit from an extensive garden and ample parking.
We pride ourselves as a welcoming and friendly nursery with a highly qualified staff team caring for children aged 6 weeks to 8 years. Snowflakes is our baby room, taking children from 4 weeks to 1 year depending on their development. The ratio for our baby room is 1:3 and we can take up to 6 children.

Services
Jack and Jills is a 93 place Day Nursery situated within Maylands Business Park and offers a fantastic location for you and your children to feel safe and secure. We cater for 0-5 years and offer a School Holiday Club during the holidays for ages 5-8 years. We have vast outdoor facilities for the children to explore including some fantastic wildlife.
Snowflakes is our baby room, taking children from 4 weeks to 1 year. The ratio for our baby room is 1:3 and we can take up to 9 children. It is a cosy room offering a home from home environment. We have a cosy area for the babies to rest and enjoy their milk with their carers.
Sensory play is very important with the younger children as they learn through their senses, our sensory area offers a wide range of natural objects and different textures to help the babies explore.We offer all sorts of messy play and encourage all children to have a go. We have a milk kitchen and sterilising equipment, each child has individual baskets for the milk and bottles to go into.

Raindrops is our 1-2 year olds room, the ratio is 1:3 and we can take up to 24 children when free flowing into the central area. Our Raindrop room has a lot of space for the children to explore and become confident on their feet. The Raindrops room has a milk kitchen, safe and secure changing area and a separate sleep room so the children can have a peaceful rest throughout the day.
Our Sunbeams room is for children aged 2-3 years old and offers a bright and spacious area for the children to learn and explore. The children also use the central area to free flow where most of their messy play activities take place. The ratio for our Sunbeam room is 1:4. The staff in Sunbeams offer a balance of play and group based activities for the children to enjoy and achieve and will start to prepare the children for our preschool room.
Rainbows has a large space for the children to enjoy and achieve, with a large outdoor area easily accessed from the room which the children use daily. Rainbows staff organise a wide range of activities both child initiated and group work. The children enjoy practicing their letters and sounds and by the time they leave for school can either write their own names or trace over them.

It’s been over 6months since my baby girl is attending Jack&Jills nursery and I couldn’t been more happy with her development.The staff is amazing starting with Snowflakes room where she started and now Raindrops room where she is very well taken care of,and being safe and happy.As a first time parent you always feel insecure when leaving your child with someone,but the staff always made us feel ok,including giving advice when needed.We also appreciate the good communication between us. Thank you all! Couldn’t recommend enough.👏👏👏💕

There are not enough stars to rate this setting. Jack and Jills is a nursery full of exciting new things for little minds to discover, where every member of staff is caring and loving to each and every child helping them develop and discover the world around them. My little boy has come such a long way and had a huge development spurt since he started there just over a year ago. He is so much more confident and such a clever and cheeky little being. Thank you to the amazing team!!!!

We have noticed incredible changes in our son’s development since he started with the nursery, he absolutely loves going to school and seeing all of his friends and teachers.
We couldn’t be happier, we take comfort in knowing that he is in safe hands with the staff.

Brilliant nursery and amazing staff. Both my children went here and they were very happy and developed in so many areas developmentally. The staff were happy to work with me around routines and even offered other options when I was stuck with routines. The staff were friendly and treated my children with smiles and kindness. The staff always… reported when my children did something new and always let me know how they had done each day they were in. The nursery always offered information on what was happening by way of newsletters and often asked for parental feedback. The staff go above
