Services
Robert qualified in 1974 having served articles with Nicholson, Martin & Wilkinson in Stanley County Durham. At the conclusion of articles he joined Polytechnic of Newcastle, now Northumbria University. Whilst lecturing, the opportunity arose to practice initially part time. He still continues his links with Northumbria and has an increasing client base from former colleagues and contacts in the area.
Debra qualified in 1992 after serving a period of articles with T. Robson. Initially employed as an assistant solicitor with Evans Robson, she became a partner in 1994 at the inception of Evans & Co. She initially covered a very general range of legal work associated with high street practice including inter alia matrimonial, crime and litigation.
Pete started working with Evans & Co in 2006 as a Paralegal while studying at Northumbria University for a Common Professional Diploma in Law. Conveyancing: Pete can assist with sales, purchases, right to buy, re-mortgages and buy to let for both experienced and first time landlords.
For the Employer: Pete works both in the defence of Employment Tribunal claims and advises Employers on how to avoid litigation and through the preparation and development of contracts and policies.Pete can advise on restructures, TUPE, redundancy and provide general advice regarding disciplinary and grievance procedures and practice.

She particularly supports Debra Swinburn as well as covering reception in our Spennymoor office. Outside of work, Steph enjoys travelling, reading, watching sport, films and listening to music as well as going to concerts. She also attends the Stadium of Light where she supports her team Sunderland AFC.
Calum joined Evans & Co in 2019 after previously working as a paralegal for a Teesside based firm. He originally obtained a degree (2.1) in history from University of Sunderland before studying for a Graduate Diploma in Law at Northumbria University in 2015. He is based at our office in Spennymoor but also participates in our free legal surgery at our Ferryhill office.
