Absolute shambles of a company. They care too much for their lying, money grabbing
landlords they manage and nothing about the tenants that pay their hard earned money for somewhere to live.
Not professional in any way, lying to tenants to get them to move in and when problems arise, doorknobs and the landlord we had go hand in hand to spend as little as possible and get out of having to pay for any repairs or refurbishment needed.
We moved in with them knowing we had a seven month old and multiple trays of rat poison was left in all rooms of the property and all they can do is point the finger

Not a pleasant experience . Made me paid more than listed price saying already have an offer. Did not agree for 6 months lease break clause which is standard. I was in desperate need to get a house before certain date. Presumably taken advantage of this situation.
After 8 months I had to break the clause, charged me 700 pound for reletting. Moreover deducted 40% of deposit saying the repair cost, which I think its general wear and tear in the house. I paid you more rent that that was asked!!!

These crooks should def remove the word door from their name.
Not very good human beings overall. Petty and picky and overall bad and sneaky. If I could give -5 stars I would.
I would recommend staying away and go with another letting agent in TW, there are loads of great ones with much higher review scores.
We can all see the low overall reviews on Google... anything under 4.5 is usually businesses not worth dealing with.

We have used Doorknobs for a number of years for a property we owned in Tunbridge Wells. They have been great and even though we are so remote from the property we have always been very confident the things were being done properly in line with current guidance and rules. Communication has been faultless. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to other landlords.

So far we are happy with the experience, been renting from Doorknobs for 4/5 months now. First rental experience with anyone! No pressure and easy to communicate with.

I had a really positive experience with Doorknobs, everything was processed quickly and I was supported throughout the beginning of the renting process. Sophie was responsive and really helpful when I had any questions, would definitely recommend this estate agent, a far better and less stressful experience than I've had before!

We have been tenants with Doorknobs for over 2 years now in the Sevenoaks area.
We couldn't be happier with their services.
The whole process of finding us a perfect place, arranging viewings, signing contracts, handover of keys, etc.
Since we have moved in we had regular contact with the agency regarding minor maintenance issues. Always responded immediately and arranged engineers, or a new dishwasher etc.
It's reassuring to know that they are so reliable and nothing is too much for them, they are always happy to help.

I have always found them to be professional and easy to communicate with. My properties have always been occupied with very little down time, if any.
During this period I have not had any problems with tenants or the property. References are always taken out, deposits held in the deposit scheme. Doorknobs also do frequent management inspection on the properties, ensuring that the property is well maintained and any problems highlighted immediately.

Horrible agency for tenants. Wasn't interested in my complaint that my landlord was repeatedly letting himself into my flat with no notice. When I gave notice to leave I later asked if I could extend it for a few days because my new flat had a delay for me moving in. All was agreed and I paid the extra days rent. Then on moving day I received an incredibly upsetting voicemail from some nasty little boy working there telling me that if I didn't leave that day they would take steps to evict me. The worst service I have ever experienced.
My partner had taken the morning off work for a viewing, nobody turned up for about 20 minutes, and when Rupert finally arrived he told my partner that he couldn't view the flat as he didn't have the keys. Rupert didn't think to call and let us know, so our time had been wasted.
On another occasion, I was left waiting in the cold and dark after being told I would have a viewing for a flat at 4pm. Nobody contacted me to say they would be late. I managed to get a number off of the website and spoke to somebody who said that the estate agent

I would like to complain about the poor service Doorknobs has provided over the time I have been a tenant with them. I would not recommend them to anybody. The staff are rude and talk to tenants as if they are a lower order of being, are late for apointments and do not phone to apologize, and once we were waiting for them all afternoon and they did not turn up. Never mind the overcharging on fees.
